My urologist only performs about 4 implants per year. Should I find someone who does more, or is that irrelevant?

Hi Shooter,
Welcome to Frank Talk.
I developed ED Post Prostatectomy in February 2004 at age 65 and, after having tried Viagra, VED and Injections unsuccessfully, I was implanted with the Coloplast Titan in December 2007. Thankfully, the Titan completely corrected my ED and restored both my sex life and the emotional intimacy with my wife of 45 years.
Also, I believe that the Titan is the Implant of choice for men with Peyronnies Disease, since it is made of a sturdier material (Bioflex).
My wife and I have been enjoying my Titan Implant for the past 4+ years and counting.
I also recommend you read the Posts of the other Bionic Brothers in our Group.
Best of luck with your Implant --- please keep us posted on your progress.
Bob

Hi Shooter and welcome to FrankTalk. I too received an implant in December 2010. If you take the time to read the discussion forums, you'll see my writings throughout my healing period. I received the AMS LGX 700 and it has been very true what they say about it growing in length and girth. I took on a regular routine of keeping it inflated at least twice a day and working it often to keep the chambers from developing any scar tissue, which would negate what the implant is there to do. I have had extremely good luck with it and am very thankful that I chose to have it installed. My life has never been better!
Do your homework. People here will tell you that what THEY had done was THE BEST. Make sure you do the research and pick the implant that is right FOR YOU!
Don't be afraid to ask lots of questions here and do come into the chat room to meet the men of FT. We're a fun bunch of guys to chat with.
Hope to see you online soon, Keith

Thx, Keith. You really gave me some encouragement. It sounds like you have a whole new outlook on life. I'm going to see a friend who is a urologist tomorrow to get his final thoughts. However, your feedback was most welcome!

Dear Bob:
Your reply means the world. I am getting the exact same model you have. Have you had any complications?

Best wishes on your upcoming surgery and congratulations on your decision. I had a Coloplast inplant on Jan 11 of this year and am delighted that I did. You will have days in the beginning when you wonder if you did the right thing, but keep your spirits up and never look back. The soreness will last beyond the magical 6 week timetable and you may still have lingering doubts, but listen to your doctor and do as he says. You will quickly forget all the pain and soreness as you start to marvel and admire your new penis. Shorter perhaps, but what a magnificent erection you will have, anytime you want it. Congratulations in advance.

Thanks Guys!
Well, with your support, I pulled the plug (or dropped the hammer) last Thur. I did the AMS 700. I was using injections, but they were unreliable, and my Peyronne's just kept getting worse. Now, I'm a little tired and sore during the day. I also began having diarrhea, and wonder if that is a complication?? I'm trying not to look back and will just believe it is the best thing I could do for myself. I'm only 53, so you guys are the only ones that know. I work as a personal trainer, but the doc told me it will not impact my job. Any advice is appreciated.
