Hi...I am a new member. I’m a 66 year old male that is in pretty good shape with the exception of this ED problem that has developed. My doctor provided me with a prescription for Muse 250mg. My question is if anyone has used this material, can provide some info on ease of use, some best practices you might suggest and most importantly, did it work? Thanks

Hi Leiamarie,
Muse is a suppository that is inserted into the urethra (tip of penis). I was given this early on post prostate surgery and found that it burned like the dickens and while it gave me an amazing erection, sex was the last thing on my mind. i also have a very narrow opening so inserting the plastic tipped device it was most uncomfortable. Please also note that because the material is in your urethra its best to ware a condemn so any leakage does not affect your partner. Did pills like Viagra or Cialis not work?

I tried it years ago - it produced no erection and was quite painful. Not exactly a resounding success, at least for me. I don't recall reading any accounts of succes with MUSE on this board.

I think I’m asking questions in the wrong place. Could someone show me which tab I should be hitting to ask a question. Thank you

You asked in your thread posted in "Introductions and Hellos" if you should post a question about Muse in a different sub-forum.
I will post this answer in PM and in the thread.
I suggest posting in "General Discussion" and also in "Injections" subforums. The reason for the General Discussion is fairly obvious. In the Injections forum is because guys who are using injections are likely to have tried the less-invasive Muse urethral suppository before going to the needle.
I discussed with my Primary Care Physician using Muse (alpostrodil) or injections and my reasons for skipping them before considering an implant (after trying everything in the oral medications inventory, which each worked well for a time before losing effectiveness).
Good luck.

LM,
I had used MUSE as a first try before injections. It worked mostly OK except for a pretty annoying Alprostadil Ache that happened. With 250mcg you are probably going nowhere but will be a good test to see how far you get and how it feels.
The one downsize is that when you use enough MUSE to get a good solid erection you will definitely be getting good ache as well, AND it'll be a fairly long nuisance ache when you are done and the erection is still up.
One way around that might be to use a 500mcg instead of a 1000mcg and then use a velcro cable tie strap ( get em at home depot or lowes in the velcro section). The strap can take a less than 100% erection from the MUSE (but with less or no ache) and boost it up to 100% or more for the duration of use. THEN you can release the strap when you are done and you will go below 100% and be comfortable. You can adjust tighter if you need more or looser if you are too hard or aching. You can use standard cock rings too but the velcro is highly adjustable which is a big plus.
Hope that helps.
