I just signed up a few days ago. Had Prostate Cancer diagnosed some time back and have been doing the watchful waiting for awhile and it was all going well until last year when the PSA levels shot up and I couldn't get them to come back down. Had more tests done, biopsy, full body scan and bone scan and sent the results off to a couple of docs. One I'd been seeing for years and a new bloke. Decided to stay with what and who I knew and followed his advice to get the offending organ removed. Well that was in March and now I'm in the process of trying to get my life back on track. I've searched the internet for a forum with like minded and effected blokes and so far this is by far the best of the bunch. I really appreciate the open and sometimes irreverent way that experiences are shared, lets face it if you can't laugh about this situation we are in what hope is there?
I feel very lucky to have a supporting wife to help me through this time of our lives but the truth is that after 38 years of marriage I'm beginning to think she might be viewing this period of ED I'm having as a welcome reprieve.
I seem to have the bladder under control for the most part but still suffer minor accidents from time to time, especially now that I'm working at getting the bladder capacity back up over the 250ml it seems to have shrunk to since the operation; it was always a problem before the op anyway so it's going to take time.
Already said more than I intended on this first post, so I'll sign off and look around.
Cheers and thanks.
