Just saying, "Hey Everybody!"

Hi all, I did a Google search and found this forum. I have been reading the threads for days now and have learned a wealth of information so far, and for that I thank you all. I am 54 years old and had a DaVinci nerve sparing RP on March 1st 2010 and have had ED ever since. Of course getting the cancer out was my first priority, then getting the incontinence corrected, which took about four months before I was completely dry, was my next priority. Finally I was ready to tackle my ED. Doc told me it could take up to 2 years, but here I am today, no better than in the beginning. I tried Trimex shots a few times and they did not work for me. I've tried Cialis and another one I can't remember, and have been using VED now for well over a year. The VED is better than nothing, but it takes the romance out of it and any real spontanaity. I've always been a morning guy and like to wake my lady up and "get a little" first thing, and that is over. Anyway, after finding this site, I made an appointment for the 27 to discuss an implant with my Doc. Wish me luck.

Best of luck Gregg.
I was implanted with the Coloplast Titan in December 2007 after developing ED Post-Prostatectomy in 2004.
Thankfully, it completely corrected my ED and restored both my sex life and the emotional bond with my wife.
I wish the same for you.

Regards,

Bob

There URO's seem to all go by the same playbook ("it could take up to 2 years") although in the real world there are very few guys that recover completely from ED after robotic surgery.

Many of us here have taken the same steps as you have ... pills, VED, Injections, with questionable results. For me getting an Implant was the best choice and I'm glad I made it. I would suggest still using the VED daily until you get your Implant, as this will help maintain blood flow needed for penis health.

Keep us posted of your results ...

Thanks Bionic, yes from everything I'm told 2 years is the magic number. Thanks for the advise, and I'll let everyone know what my URO has to say about it all after my visit today. I just hope my insurance covers an implant, because that;s the option I want to choose at this point.
