Lucked across this forum a few months backs trying to learn more about ED. I’m 53 and functioned perfectly fine, until I got Covid in July of 2020. The Vid did not affect my lungs, it gave me a fever over 103 for three days, I puked for about three days straight then had a rash that covered my entire body for about three days. Two hospital visits, one after the three days of puking, and again after the whole body rash. When I finally cleared the virus and tested Covid free it was August 3rd. I finally was feeling decent and the wife was up for some frisky time. Nothing, 100% flaccid. Booked a visit to the urologist, freakin BP was through the roof. They set me up with a cardiologist visit. Went through all his tests and he said all of the endothelial cells in my vascular system were inflamed. I had normal BP of 120/80 pre-vid, and it was over 200/100. Cardiologist did all manner of tests and said it should subside, eventually, no arterial build up. He kept seeing me every few months. Also gave me the go ahead to treat the ED with viagra or tadalifil.

Went back to the urologist and they checked me over and gave me the script. Viagra had 0 effect, other than cool blue vision. Tried the cialis. Got some half mast erections but nothing good enough for penetration. Tried a vacuum pump. It plumped it up great, but, no useable erection. With enough Cialis, and first thing in the morning there was enough that I could achieve orgasim with the wife giving oral, and major props to her, it takes about 1.5-2 hours, yay, now I discovered I’m anorgasmic to boot.

So, between pumping, and Cialis for over a year, I reached the breaking point and started investigating injections. Read a ton here, and thank you to all who post on the subject. Made an appointment with my urologist and got my first shot today. 0.20 ml of trimix at the office. It worked. Called the wife and said on my way be ready. Took a hour to get home, and went went to it, for about 40 minutes and we both had hella orgasims. I expected for my erection to subside afterwards. Nope. It was still a full on mega hard on. The wife was spent. So I chilled for about 40 minutes and still full bore hard. Soo, started to get concerned and took 4 pseudofeds, wrapped it up with an ice pack and waited. Still full bore. Looked online to see what else to try. Saw where exercise might help. So, I did curls, butterflies, military lifts and marched in place holding 20# dumbells. Nothing.Tried some squats, nope. Took a freezing cold shower, some slight shrinkage but still a useable hardon. Went ahead and called the urologist since I had been hard for a lil over three hours. Seemed like the marching might have helped so went back to doing that. At 4 hours and 15 minutes, it started to relax. The urologist called at 4 hours and 30 minutes in and it had pretty much subsided.

So, my first experience with injection, it worked, maybe too good. The doc told me not to inject anymore until I go back and let them adjust the dose. I was kinda figuring I’d be good with 0.10 ml next go around, but, I’ll visit the office again before I do.

All that being said, it was freaking awesome having actual incredible sex again after a year and 4 months.

Welcome to the forum and good luck as you continue your journey. It sounds like things will go very well for you. Hopefully the Covid crap will finally wear off and you'll return to normal and you won't need ED help. But in the meantime it looks like things are looking up with the injections.

Thanks for describing the Covid effects in detail, Covidtookit. Your description is the first I've seen of an ED virus effect. This unique virus is going to be studied for decades, and you're providing some good data for urologists and FT guys.

Did you mean to say that you have less glans sensitivity from the virus? If so, is it returning?

When I started Trimix I began with 0.1mL because the nurse injected me with 0.05mL in the office, where I got a 2-out-of-10 erection, and then titrated up by 0.05mL each injection, two days apart, until I found the right amount. Took a long time, but this is the way to avoid a case of priapism. Left and right sides turned out to need different amounts, so that was a big confounding factor in finding the right dose, because I was told to alternate sides, while titrating up, and afterwards. So alternating while titrating wasn't good advice, for me anyway!

Good luck and keep us posted with your progress out of both ED and Covid.

To answer the question on sensitivity, yes, post covid I can hardly feel anything, takes some real pressure and I found a couple of warming type lubes to get it headed in the right direction.

They are doing more studies in Italy and Europe on the damage that covid does to the testicles and wether or not it’s permanent or will resolve. My urologist had covid the same time as I did and we have compared notes each visit. She has told me it is a trend she is noticing, men 50 and under with no other issues experiencing acute ED post covid. Looking around on the internet I found one doc doing some studies in the Northeast. I’d be game to participate. Gonna talk to my urologist and see if she wants to start a study, super bright lady.

Make sure you ask your doctor for a Phenylephrine HCL 0.1% script. It is a very effective antidote to reverse priapism. More than 4 hours with a strong erection is considered a medical emergency and it can cause permanent, irreversible severe damages to your penis. You don't want to wait too long before injecting yourself with Phenylephrine in your shaft to have the erection subside, of course follow your doctor script and instructions.

Thanks for loging in Covidtookit
I too had blue vision w viagra, less so w cialas. Both gave me horrible side effects towards the end of my chemical journey. I have lost two friends to Covid neither w secondary health issues, Jason was just 46 both fantastic strong willed people who were definitely not going to get the vaccine, sadly both died. Can I ask what is your blood type? Glad you are here now on your journey among friends. Have a good Christmas.

Yeah injections were a life saver for me too. Not because of covid though. That sounds like a nightmare. Definitely not just the flu.

Not sure why you'd need your doctor to adjust your prescription though. Just inject half of what he did next time. Or start with 5 units and work your way up from there.

I found pushups help a little bit to make it go down, but you have to do enough excercize to really get winded.

Can’t recall my blood type, I’ll get em to check it next visit. I’ve heard some blood types have a hard time with the vid. Think I’m AB+, but it was high school biology when we tested ourselves.

And urologist called me back today and said cut dose in half and try again. Which, was what I figured I do, but, wanted clearance from them.

Now I have to get up the courage to inject myself, doc did it last week.

Did my first self injection of 0.1ml
Nadda, nothing, zilch, freaking super disappointed.
Doc did the left side first time with 0.2 ml, I did right side. No pain, plunger had no hesitation, felt exactly like the docs office.

Should have 0.2 left in the vial, think I’ll try 0.15 left side Sunday maybe.

This sux.
