Hi everyone, I’m a long-time reader new poster. I sincerely thank everyone for their posts which have helped me understand my issues and pointed me in the right direction. I'm almost 70 now, in my younger days I never had trouble getting an erection but lots of issues keeping it. I was a long-distance bicycle rider which may made have made my situation worse. I thought I was normal until I began reading the posts on FrankTalk. Over the years I made my life tough with a lot of bad decisions. I have made and lost fortunes and had many bad relationships as well as many great adventures. 15 years ago, I met a wonderful woman. She knew my sexual performance was bad but she didn't tell me.
I started using Cialis about 10 years ago and it worked ok. I was able to get erections on demand, but immediately after ejaculating the erection would go away. I starting taking meds for enlarged prostate and high blood pressure. As the years went by it became more and more difficult to get an erection. If I could get an erection, it would take a large amount of stimulation and take more than 10 minutes to get hard. 3 months ago, I took 2 20mg Cialis at the same time and developed severe pain in my neck and back which required multiple trips to the MD and 2 rounds of steroids to cure. Following that incident, I became unable to get any kind of decent erection. This has become the biggest obstacle I have ever faced. Injections did not produce a good erection and have decided to go for an implant. Reading the posts and journeys has made it clear that an implant is the best path for me. I made an appointment at Duke with Dr. Lentz for January. Again, thanks to everyone who has shared their experiences and advice here.
