Getting ready for an implant

I had a radical prostatectomy in July 2009 and so far have had a zero PSA, so seems the cancer is gone. However, I've had total ED and incontinence since the surgery. Tried pills, vacuum pump, injections and none of them have worked great. So I have now scheduled my implant surgery for Sept 26th in Houston. He intends to put in an AMS700LGX.
I also have had incontinence since my robotic surgery, but a year ago had the AUS implanted and it has resolved my incontinence by 95%. I've been very pleased with it.
I'll try to journalize my implant journey over ht enext few months.
Wish me luck.
Steve (from Houston, Texas)

I'd be curious to learn if any one else is a "double pumper"? Meaning you have the AUS on one side and the IPP on th eother side. Two pumps for two different reasons.

Good luck man, I too had a robotic RP only in March of 2010. My incontinence cleared up luckily after about 4 months, but the ED has never gotten better. I too am planning an implant, but currently am trying to get the insurance company to pay for it. So far they are denying coverage, but I am hopeful they will ultimately come through. I totally wish you luck and the best. Let us know how it all works out.

Wish you luck and all the best. Retro-Pubic Radical Prostatectomy in February of 2000. No incontinence problems, but E.D. that progressed from the injections to now waiting on my urologist to schedule an implant. I am jealouse, you are already scheduled.
Again good luck.

Steve,
I was implanted with the Coloplast Titan in December 2007 after developing ED Post Prostatectomy in 2004.
Thankfully, it completely corrected my ED and restored both my sex life and the emotional intimacy with my wife.
I wish the same for you.
Best of Luck,
Bob

Your surgery is scheduled for the day before I go for my pre-op, and 3 days from my surgery on 10/1. Give us all a good report after your surgery to ease the nerves of those of us waiting our turn.
Wish you all the best.

Someone on here has the double pumper, I just can't remember who. Search thru the implant forums I think you will stumble on it. He told me once about forgetting to pump at the urinal and standing there unable to pee. Rather funny.
I'm now over 18 months with my bionic leprechaun. I love it, wish you great success!
