I'm 30 years old and suffer from E.D.

I have a severe depression problem which is the reason for this. What would alleviate some depression? Sex!

I've tried pills and that works well. I'm trying to use the VED stuff but have a little trouble with it. That's why I'm here, to learn more about that.

Thanks!

Welcome to FT. ... are you taking medication for your depression? Many of those meds are libido killers ...

I'm trying to use the VED stuff but have a little trouble with it.

Please explain in detail (don't be shy) what issues you are having ... have you tried using a constriction ring with VED?

Take the time to read thru the "Pumps" section here ... there is a wealth of info there ...

Welcome to FT.
I suggest that you see a URO who specializes in male sexual dysfunctions and explain in detail your exact problem.
He will then run the appropriate tests to determine the root cause of your ED and discuss the available
ED Treatment Modalities with you.
I also highly recommend that you review the Posts of the FT members -- they have a wealth of knowledge in this area.

Best of Luck,

Bob

Have you had your testosterone level checked? Even at your age, it could be low, and a low level often causes depression.

I have had all the tests. My testosterone was checked several times and was normal.

The first time I went to a doctor (not a urologist) he just prescribed me pills (Viagra, Cialis). The pills worked very well but the issue was cost. I kept seeing this doctor for a while and eventually asked him about the vacuum device. For that, he made me see a urologist and consequently I was given many tests. His conclusion was that it was my depression and anxiety, and not any med specifically.

I've had ED, off and on, since I was 19. I told myself that it was the woman I was seeing or various other excuses. I could get erections sometimes. Often times I would use a constriction ring in order to keep the erection.

Then I got into a relationship with someone and it just hardly worked at all. I never get an erection on my own. But with manual stimulation I can sometimes get it going (like rope pulling an old lawnmower to action).

I have problems with the VED. Right now I'm just trying to get used to getting an erection with it and holding it for short periods of time. It seems that when I use the tension ring I have a problem sliding it off. As I slide it off, the seal breaks, and my erection is diminished just enough that I can't use it for sexual intercourse. I have seen Frank's video (I think it's his) and it looks like after he puts the ring on he puts it back in the device and pumps a couple more times. I believe this would work for me. I want to practice basic pumping though, before I try this.

First, you need to be practicing pumping up every day to get your penis used to the VED. Don't even use the ring. Then after 10 days or so, use the ring. And yes, there will be a small drop in engorgement just do to that short loss of vacuum before the ring slides off the cylinder and onto your penis. Yep - fold in the wings of the tension ring and repump. It also tells me that you were not sufficiently hard enough before you slid the ring one. You need to pump up to a 'super erection' where the head of the penis is tight, shine and quite bright red/purple. The shaft should be really hard. THEN you slide the ring on.
Practice a LOT! It is a great device, but most men never accomplish the skill level they need to use it.
Good luck
