First time here. I am 74 now live in Maryland. Have had ED problems for several years. 3 yrs. ago went to Urologist to see if could do anything. I told her I had tried different pills and in beginning did help some. But in time no help. Was given shot in office to see if would help but found it too painful and decided to look into PII. Was given shock wave which was expensive and did not really help. Also was told to use a Vacuum device. Again in time didn’t do much. Was looking into penile implant but discovered my PSA was now 3.5 and jumped to 5. Found I had prostate cancer. The word Cancer which makes anyone think the end is near. I went thru Linear Radiation and Cyber Knife Radation. My concern about radation since I was an XRay and Nuclear Medicine Tech for 45 years. Radiation is acclimatize so concerned that I was going to have mega amounts of it. Also had been given Lupron. It helps shrink prostrate but has a side effect of Menopause strong heat waves thru the body. After 1 yr. since last dose and still the effect is quite strong. Have not been able to satisfy my wife and looks at me as tho I have joined the other team. Also when able to masturbate some find no juice comes out. Not sure if this will change in time with implant. Month ago met with a Dr in Virginia and he suggested a Mons Lipro procedure to remove fat around penis area then a PII 30 days later. Dr suggested I look at this site to find out how others have managed with this device. Know there will be pain for a while. And wonder if will notice the device when walking around. Had read that one person did not use the device for 2 months and created a curve to penis. Was told to use a vacuum pump twice for 8 weeks to correct. Not sure if it helped. Look forward to reading other men’s results. I will be getting the Ams 700 device. Your welcome to contact me.

Welcome to the forum!

I have no advice for you. I don't even know what a PII is. Penile intracavernosal Implant?

The traditional term is IPP(Inflatable Penile Prosthesis). My advice is to look for a TOP urologist, hopefully in your proximity.
Pain: If you have a certain tolerance for pain expect 10 days of discomfort. (cannabis proves to be beneficial). The worst part for me was having and removal of a catheter overnight.
I'd say the 1st couple months or so you'll notice something down there. For me it was just because I was marveling at my new found potential.
BTW, welcome to the forum ;)

You said you tried a pump without success. Do you get an erection while pumping and then lose it when VED is removed? That is my situation and was corrected while placing rings while erect in the pump. There are medical grade pumps and rings while might help solve your ED problem and thereby avoiding implant. There is plenty of advice on VED's on the Pump Board.
Welcome to FT - it was great for me...

Yes would go down if pump removed but did use tings to keep it up. Still kept loosing presure and tried smaller rings. Felt if I went any smaller on rings would damage. Thanks for imput appreciate it.

I tried different rings and didn't have success until I tried rings which put pressure on veins. I use Osbon Erecaid rings. I was also concerned about using the small sizes and being able to remove them. Started with mid size and worked smaller and smaller as erections improved and confidence built up. Then tried 2 rings and had great success. Have to be careful about the time they are on but when ready to remove, I stretch them out and until flaccid, add a little lube and water which lets me remove them with very little difficulty.
