This forum is just what men in their golden years needed. I'm 74 years old, in fairly good shape and have a 17 year younger wife. I started having ed problems about 5 years ago. Currently injecting Trimix 150/5/50 at 30 units with poor results. Any ideas ?????

Welcome to the forum.

My immediate suggestions: 1) if you aren't already doing it, would be to add novelty/sex shop cock rings to the mix. You'll have to experiment to find rings that work best for you. There is a short thread on that topic in the "Members Only" sub-forum. 2) Talk to your doctor about stacking your injections with PDE5 pills like sildenafil. Those suggestions may extend your successful run with injections.

I would guess your ability to treat your ED with less invasive treatments is drawing to an end. You may, at some point be left only with the options of either a VED with rings or an implant.

I injected for ten years, talk with the Dr., it might be as simple as increasing the dose or a change to the proportions of the trimix. That was how my Dr delt with my weakening erection. I agree a cock ring once you inject and get erect, to hold the blood flow. That works well. Reminder don't wear the ring longer than 30 min. Let us know how you are doing!

Doc said to increase dosage slowly like I have been doing. But, shouldn't I be getting better results than a 30 minute chubby ? Doctor also said that everyone reacts differently. I'm becoming increasingly skeptical when I read posts about guys getting a major erection after injecting 10 units of the formula that I am using.

Welcome Peter MI Yes, FT is a great site for men of any age suffering from ED.
I think Trimix either works great, or it doesn't. Try increasing units like your doc recommends. It takes time to dial in the correct dose, but too much can lead to an achy penis. It's also important you're injecting in the correct spot. As mentioned, a cock ring may help. I used to inject, massage it a bit, then put a ring on to stay harder longer.

I'm going to reconsider my previous post. Not the part about the rings and pills. But the part about being at the end of your injections options.

I think you may have given the ingredients of your mix as a total for a 5ml vial. If that's the case your mix would more commonly be know as a 30/1/10 mix as in Papaverine 30mg per ml / Phentolamine 1mg per ml and Alprostadil (PGE-1) 10mcg per ml. That would be just a normal starter mix leaving you a good deal of room for increasing strength and dose.

Keep at it and you should find your ideal mix and dose.
