I’ll keep it zippy, cut down the guff to give you the picture: bowt 12 years ago I caught shingles. Mid-30s, marine fit, beautiful partner. Shingles killed my boner. Thought it might be a venous leak as the big blue vein (sorry to get technical) would either not inflate at all or inflate a little and deflate the second I moved from lying on my back.
Pills worked from day one, thank f*ck, and I’ve had a load of urologists look at my package and conclude nothing is wrong. But that shocking shame, pain and misery engendered by a dick on the Fritz- that is a despair you can’t share with anyone, and I’m pretty sure it isn’t psychological as I can get hard but not stay hard.
Odd details: I’m not bragging but in between these bouts of penile incompetence , I can get an erection in the morning and walk around the house for 15 mins- no drugs, no touching it- with it up and ready. Other odd detail: evening erections are damn near impossible unless I’m on viagra. Even tadalafil only really works in the AM.
Any insights you can lend to my issues would be fantastic. I have been suicidal in the past about this issue, and the spectre of this condition has wrought great misery on my soul, as w*nky as that sounds. Lucky to have an understanding wife with a low sex drive who accepts I need the pills to do the business (that said, for the first time in 12 years, I was able to have sex with her in the morning recently, no drugs involved; never thought that day would come.)
Similar stories that can help me identify why I can’t rely on my dick, bring ‘em on.

44 years old. Shingles seems to have brought on VL 10 years back. NHS and Private healthcare say ‘keep taking the blue-pills, champ!’ Never managed to obtain a definitive medical explanation for my ED, which gets on my tits more than I can say.

Sounds like mild venous leak to me. I think most people have stronger erections in the morning. If the pills are working for you then great, keep on using them and enjoying sex
Early 30s with ED for years from penis enlargement stretching and jelqing. Implant by Dr Eid on 24 June 2021 with a Titan 24cm with +1cm RTE on one side and -1cm cut off on the other side

ED is caused by different factors, but in my opinion if your dick isn't reliable, it's time to do something.
Pills are usually the first thing to try. Viagra or Cialis may help.
Injections are normally the next try. Usually very effective for most guys.
Issue with either of these solutions is timing. You kind of have to plan sex. Take a pill and wait 45-60 minutes to see if it's going to cause a reaction. Inject and in 5-10 minutes there should be a reaction.
When these methods fail the final step is an implant. There is no going back once you decide to get an implant, but you will be ready for sex anytime, anywhere, with a dick that stays hard until you want to quit. If that's something you want to consider keep your dick in shape because ED will cause size loss.

Re: Solid Advice Hugely Appreciated
I appreciate your insights here, gents, though I’m hoping pills will see me through for a few years yet.
I’m pretty green when it comes to sex-aids and stuff but those cock rings sound like a decent idea- is there a brand/style you’d advocate?
Also, (and I’m braced for a big NO here) are there any exercises, medicines and other aids that can fix or neutralise venous leakage, if indeed that is what I have (urologists have done, scuse my pun, dick to identify my problems. Doppler test proved fine, blood flow n testosterone kosher).
