New here and need advice

We have been injecting since the first of the year after almost a year with no penetration due to accidents and surgery, neck and back. It is great to enjoy PIV again. Trimix is a Godsend but the learning curve is a bitch. I am on second formula due to length of erection time. Missing injections a lot and tried Owen Mumford Autoject and it missed as much as I do. Using 5/16 needles and I have a 5 inch flaccid girth. A failed injection is a wasted of precious opportunity at 72 yr. old.

Mickey-
Finding that sweet spot for an injection is a learning thing. Sorry to hear it hasn't been going well.
I used an auto injector when I was on Trimix, it worked ok. I missed with it several times.
At 68 and dealing with ED for 10-12 years I had enough. Not sure what to tell you. Do you see a urologist? A good urologist who deals in men's sexual health can probably give you options.
Don't want to waste opportunities for some fun, for sure.

Hi Mick. Welcome!

I’ve been injecting now for a couple months and agree there is a steep learning curve.

Are you using a VED to pump up a bit before the injection? Like others do, I pump up to at least to 60 -70 % capacity and pop on a ring, which gives me a larger target to hit. The ring allows me a little more time to clean the area with the gauze and then I leave it on 60 seconds after the injection to keep the meds where they are supposed to be. ( this was recommended by an instructional video I watched on line.). I then take off the ring and do a back and forth massage depressing my thumbs on each side Also, I rub the area behind the scrotum.

For me, a 3 o’clock and 9 o’clock target area works better as opposed to 2 and 10.

But the most important thing I’ve found is that the key to my success, is to make sure I feel NO PAIN once the needle is inserted. I used to assume there would be some pain and just inject the meds anyways. Every time I attempted and felt pain, I had a miss.

Like you said, a miss is a miss of a precious opportunity. I know it takes a lot of guts to do it, but if you feel any pain, pull the needle out and try a different spot or angle.

Good luck bro!

RJ

I’m implanted now, but I am a veteran of 32 years of injections.

I also have a relatively fat (5” soft/6” erect girth) dick.

Here’s your problem, very simple: a 5/16” needle is too short.

I went with a 29 gauge 1/2” the entire time.

I never pumped before injection. I might occasionally put on a leather snap cock ring but the main goal was to retain medication, not give myself a larger target.

Edge of circumcision scar. If top of dick is high noon, try going in at an angle from either 10:30 or 1:30.

Less than 10 misses in 5000 injections. And even when I missed it was not always a total miss & I ended up with a usable but shorter lived boner.

Welcome to the forums and we’ve all been there. There was a member not sure if he’s still with us that posted a good instructional photo set.
