Well, Friday is the big day. Surgery is taking place in Toronto. Part of me is looking forward to getting this over with and moving forward. The other part is saying what the hell are you doing!
Reviewing forum posts has given me a greater understanding of what to expect. So thank you to all those who have posted their experiences and comments. You have instilled confidence.

Best of luck to you. Yes, it is a scary thought having surgery on a very delicate part of your anatomy.
Let the community know your results.

I know just how you feel. Had my surgery a week ago today. The whole thing was nerve-wracking, but everyone treated me well, and it was the right decision.

Recovery isn't fun, but it's not unbearable. So far I'm going through lots of gauze pads, and my pee bottle and Senokot have been indispensable. (When they say the anesthesia and meds back you up... they ain't playin.)

Good luck to you! Hang in there and breathe. You can do it!

We live several hours away so I grabbed a hotel the night before. Traffic can be murder, I didn't want to be delayed. Surgery was scheduled for noon. I was the third implant the doctor performed that morning. The hospital staff were wonderful and the doctor was a pleasure to deal with. We were on our way home by 4pm. I don't know if it was the pain meds, or the ice pack the staff gave me, but I experienced nothing more than discomfort on the drive.

Prior to bedtime I took a pain med and slept with a pillow between my legs. I sleep on my side. There was discomfort but surprising I woke up a couple of times during the night with no discomfort at all. Until I moved around a bit that is. I was told that may be expected.

There is quite a stinging sensation when urinating. Near the tip. Very uncomfortable. Some fresh blood too although that seems to be diminishing.

I had read the pros and cons of the Titan and the AMS 3 piece implants. I relied on the doctor's knowledge and experience. A Titan was installed.

It's 6am in the morning. Hoping the day goes well.

Good to know you are tolerating the recovery so far. I used a pillow between my knees the first few nights too. Also found satin boxers let me move wherever without tangling up in the sheets. Hope your day(s) are good.
