Hello all,

I've been reading and learning from this great site and its caring, intelligent contributors for several months. Thank you all for sharing your experiences with whatever stages you are in.

I'm 62, luckily in good overall health so far, exercising regularly but maybe 15 lbs overweight. I have family history (father, uncle, and brother) of prostate ca so being vigilant. I know many of you are survivors.

I first noticed ED creeping in prob around 40. Pills at low doses worked well back then, I can remember the days of splitting them! and getting good reliable wood. Then over the years needed full doses, and then- going beyond recommended dose with generics (200-300 V, "just to be sure", fearing [and getting] less dependable erections).
Even at lower doses, side effects recently are terrible, - acid reflux, but more annoying, body aches, particularly in lower back hips and neck, with general malaise/flu-like feelings and even some low restless moods.
I thought, well, I should maintain some degree of baseline "tumescibilty" for circulation, but even 5mg Cialis daily gives me some back ache and mild acid reflux, but no ability to get hard enough for penetration.

Also I had noticed in last several years evidence of mild peyronies, some ring like banding on the left side, but curvature is very mild and doesn't seem to be getting worse.
A few years ago I tried shockwave therapy here in SoCal, 10 sessions, and a P-shot. I don't really think the net effect was of any lasting benefit. I did however look forward to the sessions with a young woman stretching and probing my Johnson;)
I've been using a VED regularly since getting one with the shockwave treatments.

Given the intense side effects and diminishing reliability of pills, in the last year I have gone to tri-mix (30-2-20, 10units), with good results. Prob have done 40 injections and the erectons are dependable and under control time wise. Creeped up to 15 units, now. When I tried to refill tri-mix, prescribing doc had trouble getting through pharmacy backlog, so quad-mix (to be used at lower dose) showed up in powder form, while I still had plenty of tri-mix left. Finally wading into those waters now, but will post my observations and questions on the injections board.

Thank you again. This is an amazing community and resource.
