Hello I'm Randall I had several bouts with Prapism to which an incompitant docter let 5 days elaps & was left with both post-op & surgical damage, I have been unable to achieve & maintain an erection since! I found this site researching for help. I have used viagra couldnt tell any difference, I bought a pump and have struggled so much with it I feel foolish trying! I am glad I found this place because my problm is making me crazy at times!!! After my ordeal I am terrified of telling a Doc my prblm so IDK! Mine is more mental than i ever imagined......Thanks Surgery took place in '07

Hi Randall.
Seems like you need to go to another urologist....but that's your choice. Have you tried Cialis? When viagra stopped working for me, Cialis did the trick for a few years....but you'l have to talk to doc to get a script. -Stan

Thank Guys for replies & A Bill they said it was my lifestyle but I believe it was a med. I was trying for anxiety @ that time not sure but I was put in the hosppital on fri. morning and the Dr. wanted to confer with a partner that was then on vacation, I was put on a liquid diet(UMP) for sugery but weds. came no surgery on me & I demanded food & told them they do the surgery or something that day...I was shipped out to another hospital 2 hrs. later & I of course had the surgery there. I was in that condition too long!

Your bouts with Priapism has most likely left you with permanent erectile dysfunction, due to the formation of scar tissue in the main body of the penis.
I bought a pump and have struggled so much with it I feel foolish trying!
You shouldn't feel foolish ... it's a tool for rehab ... it helps to increase poor blood supply and prevent tissue atrophy. The old adage "use it or lose it" is so very true!
After my ordeal I am terrified of telling a Doc my prblm so IDK!
Find a good Urologist in your area ... never be terrified of telling them anything! I had several bouts of Priapism myself ... believe me these URO's have dealt with this stuff before and it's nothing to be ashamed of ...
