Hi all, I'm the new guy.
I'm a German who lived 18 years in the Caribbean and moved last year to the Netherlands. I'm 47.
My ED started showing first about 10-12 years ago. At first it was just less hardness. Maybe about 5 years ago there was the first incident when it wasn't enough for penetration. I could still work around it for a while, but it gradually worsened and now I'm at a point where a drastic intervention is required. Pills were never my best friend. Tadalafil at 20mg gives me heartburn for three days and sildenafil lets me wake up next day feeling like I haven't slept for three nights. Both never gave me reliable erections.
I tried Trimix on a trip to the US in 2023 the first two shots were great, but then it didn't work again for some reason.
Since I moved to the Netherlands in April, I got a prescription for Androskat (papaverine and phentolamine). At 2ml per shot, I get what I would call a 70% erection that lasts for 15 minutes before it goes down to being a 30%. My urologist said it's time we go for an implant (I love her for that). So I'm waiting for an appointment with the sexologist and in the meantime read up on everything as much as possible to decide for an implant and to know what to expect.
If there are other guys here from the Netherlands, please give me a shout. It would help tremendously to talk to someone who has been through he process here already.
