Finasteride and Dead Inside

Hey all.

My dysfunction started as an inability to orgasm with sexual partners, from the age of 19 to 24. Erections were easy, orgasms were impossible without masturbation. It put the worry in me that something was wrong. Eventually I’d learned how to orgasm with a partner, but had never shaken anxiety that something was broken inside me.

In my mid-30s I took Finasteride out of a fear I was losing my hair. It did have really good results for my hairline, and at first I didn’t notice any changes to my sexual health. About two years in I noticed that my penis had shrunk, and my sexual desire was much lower. I stopped taking the Finasteride but had found that ever since then I’ve been struggling with getting and maintaining an erection.

That was 6-7 years ago. Since then I’d explored using water pumps, and found that it brought back my girth and length. I stopped using them after potentially over-pumping. I don’t think I’d done any damage but I started to get worried about the health of the blood vessels there and wasn’t sure I was using it correctly.

I suspect it might be more to do with a lack of emotional arousal. I don’t “feel” much of anything anymore. Taking Cialis first clued me in to how I don’t feel turned on anymore. Stress and anxiety of parenting and life is high. Maybe the desensitization from porn contributed, but I quit cold turkey, and after a month only felt more dead inside and atrophied down below. Nothing built up, because those feelings just aren’t inside of me anymore.

I’d tried prostate massage and using a thera-gun on my taint. It sounds ridiculous but I can’t afford Shockwave therapy, and thought maybe the impact/vibration would help. It sort of did. I did notice I’d have an easier time getting hard and getting nighttime erections.

I suppose my big struggle is the lack of arousal emotionally. Anybody encounter that and find ways to beat it?

I'd encourage you to try prescription PT-141. It really cranks the sexual feelings of arousal and indulgence up to 11 for me, maybe it'll reawaken those senses in you as well.

Toomuch: You're mentioning the symptoms of low testosterone. Your GP, urologist, or endocrinologist can measure it - easy blood test.
