Im 35 and basically I have never had intercourse. Born with a severe congenital curvature and got trhough both botched surgeries and repairs, I have been left with severe ED and pain (a big lump made oout of surgical material) for 13 years now. I tried my best to still have relationships, I have been open minded and so on..but it is what it is.
I want to have an implant done. I had a consultaltion in NYC with dr. Eid (im from Europe). He seems a great guy. Still, I struggle to see the overall thing as a solution. I know it could be potentially a game changer, but still. I changed many things in my life but I can't really change my mental approach towards it. It feels like I have to do it.
For sure my experience made an impact, learning how to deal with an extra big lump that hurts, all the ups and downs to come at peace with my penis. Maybe I am just way too scared to start it over again. Getting used to a new body again. Logics says, ok, it's new but it's better. No more lump, pain will get better and so on. But still.
My incredible story

Re: My incredible story
I wasn't near as unfortunate as you albeit much older but when Alfa Jr wouldn't cooperate I figured I was 'broken'. Once I knew my procedure would be paid for(Medicare) I jumped on the opportunity to get repaired. Day and night if you get my gist.
Dr. Eid seems to be the #1 Uro. in the US and I'm sure he's seen it all. I would say you have a most legitimate reason for medical insurance to cover the procedure. I would hate to get your hopes up but see if your insurance will cover the proceedure.

Under your circumstances, it is very understandable that you would be fearful of, and not ready for, another procedure. The urologist you consulted with, seems highly competent. I live in NYC and if I ever decide to get an implant, he would be on my short list of surgeons I'd consider. Good luck.

Welcome to FrankTalk. I hope you find lots of information and support here.
Since your case is atypical it seems more important that you see a high volume, very experienced surgeon. Dr Eid is exactly that.
I had an implant done by Dr Eid in March and the recovery process was much easier than I had anticipated. You WILL have to recover from your surgery and adjust to the new you. But if your experience is like mine, that new you is an improvement. ED will no longer be a barrier between you and an intimate partner. You just won’t have to worry about whether you can function or not.
There are quite a few men here who had their implant done by Dr Eid. Feel free to reach out to any of us if you want to talk about what you might expect.

Re: My incredible story
Have you considered Clavell in Houston? He does a lot of reconstruction procedures and fixes botched surgeries. Might be less expensive also.
Wish you the best.
