I've just joined. I had a RP in mid-Mrch 2013. In the meantime, I've been reading up on ED and eventually found my way here.
I was told by my surgeon that 99% of my nerves were spared on one side, and 75% on the other side, but at age 66, it could be two years before my nerves start functioning again. Also, I have recently learned that the nerve damage can cause TriMix to be painful -- which, regardless of the cause, has definitely been true in my case. Because of the ache I get from TriMix, I recently switched to BiMix and am gradually upping the dose to see if I can get a strong enough erection for intercourse. The BiMix does not hurt at all. But so far, it has not been producing strong enough erections. I am also taking Cialus daily to help preserve erectile tissue -- but only 5 mg/day so that I can also inject the BiMix 2 - 3 times/week.
So that's where I am at this point. I look forward to participating here and sharing experiences.
