I'm new here

Postby glockhead » Mon Nov 18, 2013 10:34 am

about 8 weeks post-op with an AMS 700MS. 57, no prostate issues (yet). i found this site with looking for operational tips on google. i've had ED problems for about 15 years but always found relief with Viagra. Suddenly last January, it stopped working. I tried injection therapy with no luck and decided to go this route. still getting used to the new hardware and am in the 30 day "break-in" stage. a bit difficult to activate and sometimes it does it all by itself. The "flaccid" state is not totally flaccid and it's been a bit uncomfortable. they tell me this is normal. i get about 30 seconds of time with my actual surgeon and most of the follow-up is with an RN or an assistant. i guess thats not all bad.

glockhead ... Welcome to FT ...
I assume when you say hard to activate ... you mean difficulty squeezing the pump ball - See if this helps: Double-Handed Inflation
http://www.franktalk.org/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=932

As for the flaccid issue after deflating normally ... try squeezing your penis shaft, then press the deflate button, repeat as needed ... The auto-inflate issue may be due to not being fully deflated. Some guys report that this occurs from bending, etc. creating pressure on the reservoir, where the pressure will push fluid into the cylinders. Try (after deflating) pump once ... when you feel the "pop" ... this may help with the auto-inflate ...

Keep us posted on your progress ...
