Hi all. I would like to wish everyone a Happy Holiday and New year.
I had the AMS700 implanted over 3 months ago due to M.S. We tried everything and I was not going to continue to inject myself in my penis with a sub-q needle every time I wanted sex. And after a while that stopped working also. M.S. a wonderful disease.....
To make a long story short, I was unable to inflate the bulb and so was my Uro. The resevoir that is tucked under the bladder fell down causing one of the lines to "pinch" or crimp. My Doc was upset, I had to have another operation "revision" it was called. I had heard this happens to overweight or obese men but I am far from that at 5' 8"and 160lbs.
OK, my problem. I can inflate the bulb now but it stays deflated. NO MATTER what I do to try and re-inflate this bulb it just stays deflated. After a while it may inflate on it's own "from gravity?" but therer is always a little dent in it.
To put it mildly, if I have to go under the knife again THEY CAN TAKE THIS THING THE HECK OUT! Find another doc and have a different devise installed. I don't know how many of you know about M.S. but with each operation I go through causes hell for me. Not only the pain and swelling but I get relapses and could be in bed for a week at a time. Unable to walk correctly with any assistive devise and my eyes go real bad. It comes back, but operations are hell for me.
I tried sqweezing this buld now a dozen times and it just stays deflated. It was flat at one time.
Not only am I frustrated but this old Navy Senior Chief is depressed and about to give up hope. I see my Urologist this week. Man, I better get good news, or I am going to have this thing removed and I will personally send it back to the company with a big THANKS FOR NOTHING!
By the way, I did email AMS, and after my second not so nice email I complained about no one getting back to me, Finally a nice lady Elizaceth emailed me back only to tell me she tried calling me twice but my phone was busy. I have a bare bones phone, no call waiting, I am on a small pension and SSDI so have to watch every dime. She sent me the typical "how to operate" instructions which I took as a joke because I have all these instructions already and tried it all. By the way, I am a retired Nurse at 57 years old. I was an FMF Corpsman and went to Nursing school when I came out on the GI Bil. Don't know how much you guys can help, but at this point I am ready to vomit!
