Hey Bros:

Let me introduce myself. I am Christiano from Chicago. I am 69 years old | good physical shape | married with supportive wife | healthy sex appetite.

I have posted twice with no responses. This was disappointing. Therefore, I decided that maybe this was the case because I didn’t introduce myself to you. If this is the case, I am rectifying with this introduction.

I am a double winner having survived a massive heart attack (4/2011) and prostate cancer (Prostate removed: 9/2012). My ED started as a result of high blood pressure and cholesterol medications usage. Oral ED drugs, injections did not work for me. My Urologist has advised me that the reason is because of a venous leak. I have just started using a pump (Augustus Manual). This has been a comedy of errors: Cylinder that came with pump too small, confusing information about correct procedures and defective pump. I have received correct cylinder size and replacement pump.

Although I did not receive any replies to my post, I learned to my surprise that using the pump correctly is helpful for penile rehabilitation, due to reading posts on “Pump” and communicating with a user on “Discussion Board”. I have been pumping for 20 minutes each day for three days and I can feel my member coming back to life.

Just finding your organization has already greatly reduced my high anxiety level. Any additional suggestions/advice/recommendations on pumping will be greatly appreciated.

On another note, after my prostate removal, my ejaculations have become extremely more intense. This is great! However, I emit urine like a geyser. This makes it challenging to have sex with spouse? I would be interested in hearing from anyone with similar experience, with ideas, advice and recommendations.

Once again, “FrankTalk” has already greatly reduced my anxiety level. I feel empowered.

I look forward to hearing from you.

Christiano

Hey Christiano!

Welcome to FT.

Sorry no one has responded to your posts. My ED is a result of diabetes and possible venous leak. As Trimix injections worked, for the most part, I never got tested for venous leak. I still have my prostate so my reaction to the pump is probably different than yours. I have been pumping for over four years and, unfortunately, it has not improved my ED. However, in addition to injections, I also use a pump to achieve an erection which I maintain with an Osbon tension band.

Welcome to FrankTalk Christiano!!
I would be happy to share what I did to correct my Post-Prostatectomy ED with you.
I was implanted with the Coloplast Titan IPP (Inflatable Penile Prosthesis) in December 2007 after developing ED Post-Prostatectomy in February 2004.
The Implant completely corrected my ED and restored both my sex life and the emotional bond with my wife.
Actually, my Titan Implant has given us a second chance to be High School Sweethearts!
I would do it again in a heart-beat.
That being said, the final decision is yours and yours alone, just as it was for me and all the other Bionic Brothers on FrankTalk.
Also, FYI, there is some very informative material on the new Website www.coloplastmenshealth.com.
Please feel free to PM me if you have any non-medical questions or would just like to talk.
Bob

Welcome Christiano,

Just to address one issue you raised, that or spouting urine. Others may have found other solutions, and perhaps time itself is of assistance, but Kegels are critical. You need to strengthen the urinary tract muscles that are left. I haven't been as religious is doing them as I should since my surgery in 2011, but those that I have done have helped.

I have also found that the amount of liquid I consume prior to ejaculation is important. Obviously, the less liquid that needs to exit, the better for a "cleaner" ejaculation.

Hope these pointers help

Welcome to FT. Sorry you did not get any response to your other post. I agree with Sataone restrict your liquid intake before sex and that will help some. It is very common to have that emit urine at orgasm after prostatectomy.

Venous leak would be a reason that the injections possibly would not work. I am surprised that they did not work. I suggest that you get in the chat room from time to time and meet some of the guys. Get to know some of them and you will find out that many of us are in the same boat.

Best of luck.
