Hi just joined this group today. I want to thank the administrator for accepting me to Frank Talk.

A little about myself. I'm a 59 year old who was widowed at the age of 55. I was diagnosed with prostate cancer last August and had a nerve sparing radical prostatectomy on Nov 4th at the Brigham and Women's Hospital (Dana Farber) in Boston Mass. Fantastic hospital.

Before my surgery I would take a 1/4 of a 100mg Viagra and that would work fine. After my recovery from the surgery I found that Viagra does not work on me even the full 100mg tablet. I had started injections with a bimix in February of this year. That never worked completely except once. I was just recently prescribed a trimix injectable med. I haven't started that med yet but will be soon.

I found reading postings and questions from men who are going through the same situation as myself has helped me very much. I still have many questions but I hope to be able to help someone along the line as well.

Thanks again for including me.

Welcome to the group Roadking!! Hope the trimix works out for you but if it doesn't an implant is not a bad way to go.I sure am liking mine!!

Thank you rentguy. I have discussed the implant with my doctor. I have used the trimix for the first time and it appears to be doing the trick so far. There is a little aching discomfort but nothing that I can't tolerate right now. Thank you for the input on the implant though. It's good to know that I have another option and from what you say it works well. When the doctor was going over that option I admit I was very apprehensive until now. I'm still hopeful the nerves will kick in eventually as I'm told they should. Thanks again
