Hello. My name is David R and I just joined. As an introduction, I will give you a shortened version of my experiences.
In 2001 I began exploring solutions to my E.D. that was caused by a prostatectomy. (I know each of these works for some men, so I am just sharing my story.)
1. Because of a heart condition I couldn't use drugs like Viagra.
2. I didn't like the side effects of the vacuum erection device.
3. I tried the urethral supposity (MUSE), but it didn't work all the time, plus it burned in the urethra.
4. I didn't like the idea of penile injections, so I skipped over that option.
This left me with the inflatable penile implant, which I had inserted in 2002. I had the AMS CX 700 model, and my wife and I couldn't be happier with it. I've had it almost 11 years now, no problems.
I can always have an erection (because it is mechanical), it will stay hard as long as I want it to (even after I climax because it is mechanical), it is completely invisible (no one can see anything in the locker room), it has no metal (so it won't set off metal detectors, CAT scans, or MRIs), and my wife says it feels completely natural to her.
She does share, however, that the girth of my penis has expanded -- which is nice for many women. And since I was aging (I am 61 now) and had a heart condition, my pre-prostatectomy erections were frequently not at their best. Now, though, the hardness is like when I was a twenty-something.
I am glad to talk one-on-one with anyone about the details of my experiences. (Sorry there's not a "smilie" for "erection"!)
