Hey Guy, I'm a 49 yrs old Gay man that has been having trouble with Ed now going on 2 years. I have not seen a Uro yet, because of no insurance. I believe I have injured myself from excessive pumping. Been doing pumping for over 10 yrs, daily. I had Epididymitis a few years back, not sure if that had anything to do with my ED. Now things aren't working at all. Sex life has been really sad.. Have experimneted with Viagra and Cialis. But the side effects were really bad.. Even got my hands on some Carverject, 40mg, helped but did not get a full erection. So it's my hope to learn about reasons for Ed. How do Doctors determine your problem. and their solutions to help with the problem. That 's my mini story for now.
;)

Hey bbb!

Welcome to FT.

ED has many causes including poor diet, lack of exercise, and age, among others. There are supplements such as l-arginine, ginko balboa, ginseng and a host of others which can help improve blood circulation. Nohard has several threads on helpful natural supplements.

Jelqing ( a type of aggressive massaging) and kegels have shown to be helpful to a lot of guys. Also, look into the use of constriction bands (cock rings) as a means to maintain a hard erection.

Good luck and continue to ask questions.

I've been pumping for over ten years and it has helped my ED. It might not be the pumping.

The reason I say that is at times I have over done it with my pumping. By that, since your a long time pumper yourself you might know this . It feels so good that you give that little extra pump, then it hurts. Which makes me think I might have torn something.... Just an assumption on my part.

I have over pumped in the past. I use a sex shop pump not a doctor prescribed one. When I have over pumped I will get a small blister on the glans. Have you ever gotten a blister on your glans from over pumping?

Yes, several times. When I said it hurt at times from over pumping, it's like a hurt from deep at the base.

You can get a pumping system for about $50 which includes a vacuum gauge. If you keep the vacuum level below 5 inches of mercury (5 hg), the risk of getting a blister is very low. I use a medical type VED to generate an erection and a pumping system with a vacuum gauge for therapy.

Thanks you for your input, but I am not looking to buy any pumping equipment. I have all types and sizes. Electric to manual pumps. Been a pumper for a very long time. My Original post was asking .."Could over pumping cause damage and cause ED?"...

I suppose that over pumping could temporarily cause ED. If you go on any medical website, it will list the causes of ED but I've never seen pumping as a cause. I have been pumping for many years and it has made my penis longer and fatter.
