Well after 4 years of contemplating/researching having an implant I put my fears and concerns aside and got it done. I am 55 and must admit that most of my ED was psychological which can be a hard persistent hurdle to get over as well as taking meds for diabetes, high blood, and cholesterol and sleep apnea. 4 yrs ago I thought I was ready to do it and met with a local Dr. who claimed he was experienced and had even placed one in his father. After everything was approved I cancelled because of some of the horror stories I'd heard of including some in Franktalk. I told the Dr. My fears and he assured me that I shouldn't have them. I did ok sexually for the next 4 years but could tell things were getting more difficult to start and maintain even with trying Cialis. After watching every video I could find on devices, procedure etc. I decided to have it done. I envisioned my end result would be similar to what I'd seen in pictures and videos as having a well hidden pump behind the testicles and low and centered in the scrotum for easy access with either hand. Almost immediately after recovery I could tell my implant was not placed properly. I could feel tubing running from the lower part of my abdomin through the right base of my penis. The valve and pump are located on top of my right testicle just under the skin. The whole device can be easily felt and seen through the skin. It also sits about mid scrotum and to the right making it hard to handle with left hand and by it being on top of a testicle there is less loose skin to grab the pump and valve. It also feels as if it is sticking to the scrotum and I feel it rubbing at the base of my penis. I've contacted the Dr. and have sent him pics of how it looks and pics of how others look even immediately after the procedure. He has assured me that everything is fine and that it may take several months for my body to settle in. I just don't see that happening. Another thing I'm concerned about is that he put in 27cm. Looking at some of the videos online from what looks like guys who are longer than me and to find out they have 26 or 28cm. I see him in a couple of weeks and have printed pics of results I could find online to compare with my results.
This is the 3rd week after surgery and except there still may be some changes going on. I just don't see how this device is going to bury itself deeper into my body, behind the testicles, drop down an inch or so and center itself. Am I worrying for nothing or do I have a legitimate concern? Tried to attach pic but says file too large.
