just joined this forum. hello to all. interesting to read your experiences.

i'm 63 years old. experiencing e.d. originally thought this may be due to low testosterone. in my late teens i had hernia surgery. one testicle has shrunken somewhat since then. however my total t-levels are in the 470 range. (i know that there is a way of calculating the free t in the system. have others done that? has it helped?)

i had a visit with a urologist last week. he suggested that my e.d. may be secondary to a script of propanolol i was using for ptsd. in the grand scheme of things, i figured i'd prefer to have my sexuality back, and can tolerate the occasional flashback. stopped the propanolol.

i'm having a good response to cialis 20 mg. thinking of trying the cialis 5 mg for daily use. i'm enjoying having a libido once again! kind of like being a teenager, but without being stupid. i had a trial of staxyn, and was underwhelmed with the response.

i note there is a warning against consuming grapefruit juice. what's with that?

Buster, it's great to see you here, having recently joined, myself. I have found so much helpful information here, as well as encouragement from the other guys with similar (and even different) situations. I am 70, but have experienced much of what you are describing; testosterone shots every 10 days have definitely increased the desire (horny as a teenager), and I have been experimenting with Viagra, Cialis, Levitra, and the Augusta pump. I have found the 5 mg daily of Cialis has made a real difference in getting a more lasting erection. When I ran out of the Cialis, I used Levitra successfully, and I am now waiting for a shipment from a Canadian pharmacy of the generic of both. Many guys on here who are successfully treating their ED recommend daily use of the pump for rehabilitating the penis, and I have found that to be great advice. Be sure to read the Sexuality 2.0 section, as it provides perspectives on enriching our sex lives in ways we may not have thought enough about.

Hey Buster,

Welcome to the club and the wealth of information you can get here. I,too, have just joined and already I have gotten answers by very patient and willing members on this forum. I take 5 mg of cialis everyday to keep the blood flowing down there, and I wish it is going up to my head too. ED overwhems the body and the mind and it is good to talk openly to someone with similar issues.

The drugs that you are on or were on, can really lead to dysfunction and the doctors usually can get you on the right track. I think awhile back I was on Paxil, and it really screwed up our sex life. We are here for help and at times we can also help.

Buster: Welcome to FT. Were a bunch of guys that surely dont mind saying whats going on. I must say I loved your remark about "kind of like being a teenager, but without being stupid" What a wise statement. :)

Congrats on the good results with the pills.
