Hello
My name is Hugh
58
Married 34 years 2 grown kids 5 grandkids all in %x
Have had ED at least 5 years
Had low T
Enlarged prostate
Diabetes
Hypothyroidism
History of high blood pressure
Bipolar
Arthritis
2 leaky heart valves

I am glad I found this forum, wish I had found it sooner. My ED came on slowly. First my wife thought it was her. Then we thought maybe meds. When I first noticed it I wad on depressant and antidepressants plus a lot of other crap the VA had me on. Got of all the mental drugs an only take 7 maintenance drugs now. 1 for stomach, 1 for blood pressue, 1 for thyroid, asprin, 1 for cholesterol, stool softener and colace.

When I was first diagnosed with BPH it was by the finger. Then scope tried the Flowmax with no change. About the same time was told I had low T. I was getting the shots till insurance stopped paying. Talked to my VA dr about it, his belief is it is a lot of hype for drug companies to make money.

Started Levetria as that was what the VA perscribed at the time the they changed to Viagra. Neither one worked. Life 8n the bedroom contiued to decline. I was able to get a VED when Medicare paid for them. By this point sex was almost zero.

Fast forward to now wife got tired of my just eating her out. Her birthday was mid June. Tried the VED with 2 different rings. She suggested I need to talk to a Dr. I do not trust most of the local Dr except my primary care and ortho. My cardologist is an hour away.
I did research and found Dr Hakky, made the appointment droce 2 hours to see him. In hindsight should have had my wife go with me.

He gave me a very through mens health exam. Meassured flow, ultrasounds of kidneys, bladder, prostate, and dick nerve test on dick. He found serveral things a small cyst on each kidney, my prostate was 3 times normal size, the start of Peyroines, scaring and plague, and slight leakage. We discussed options , the one injection he gave me did not get me fully hard. He said " Could do injections but would take several and would make the plague and scaring worse". So the course of action would be he would shrink my prostate using Rezume and Urolift if needed. Then we discussed ED he felt implant would be best for me as everything else had failed. Decided on the Coplast Titan.

Prior to this I had never given much thought to implant. The only obbes I had ever herd of was the rods.

So July 20 he did the Rezume , Medicare would not pay for both. I am scheduled for implant on 08/28. I have been doing streching since first visit.

My wife is not onboard with itm thinks it stupid. Now she says she is asexual, butjokes about sex. I think it is a defense mechanism from years of piss poor or no sex. Hopefully after I am activated things will change.

Just my 2 cents, but I wonder if the doc gave you a very weak injection in order to suggest implant?
My doc recommended implant the first time we talked.
Been injecting over 4 years now.

By the way, if you can get a doc to prescribe it, and there's a compounding pharmacy that stocks it, injecting T may only cost $60 for a 6 month supply
At least that's what I pay, but I also buy my own needles and syringes.

The T did not really help before. When he checked it this time he said it was normal for my age

Hello,

You are 10 days behind me in scheduling, but this is my second. Your wife should warm up to the implant over time. At least mine did, and she is fully behind me on my revision.

It isn't all going to be peaches, but it is worth it. And it isn't all going to by the pits unless you are indeed unfortunate. All in all you will be glad you had your implant. You won't think so for the first week after, however.

Tomas.. maybe you are correct and the doctor did give him a weal dose, with Peyroines coming on he would more than likely need an implant. Might just as well do it now and be done with it before his second marriage fails. As for testosterone, implant or not, I need it to even be interested in having sex... my mind says yes, yes, yes and my body, etc says "what's on TV"?
