Months back, when I was in the consideration phase of implant surgery, I called the urology clinic at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville to set up appointment to talk with Dr. Milam.
"What is the appointment for?" the receptionist asked.
"I want to talk to him about penile implant surgery."
"Oh, he doesn't do that."
I figured he must have gotten out of doing implants, and so thanked her and hung up.
I mentioned this on the Implant subforum here, and a guy chimed in that Milam had done an implant on him two weeks prior.
Back to the phone. A different receptionist answered, and asked what the appointment was for.
"Penile implant surgery."
"Oh, he doesn't do that," she said. "He still does surgery, but not that."
"When you say 'that' ", I said, "what do you mean?"
"Penile."
Maybe not the brightest receptionist?
