Thank you very much for your reply.
Do you know how many veins were embolized and how many veins were operated on and their location?
Did Dr Allaire have to cut loose and retract the penile skin to get access to the veins?
Does embolization in your case mean that some agent was put in the veins as a permanent "plug" or is the vein sclerotized?
Thank you
Anyman
It depends on your case. In the CT scan, you will have a reveal of your particular leak/leaks. In my case 4 main veins were leaked, I'm afraid I cannot tell with you more exactly.
Regarding the penile skin, I don't know what the hell happened, I just woke up with my penis as it was. In the papers says so, so you may ask him. When you are in for the surgery, you don't want to know that much, jajajaj.
In all cases you are embolized with platinum alloy coils, that I understand are malleable. This will cause a blood clot and permanent fix, also a product is put there for that. The leak itself is fixed forever, but sometimes with bad habits or for whatever reason, other leaks create. This is the study with highest success rate ever, due to many approaches, and individualization, etc.
If you can handle erections and results are good for 6 months, you will keep them at least for 5 years(oldest patient is still in 7 years), doctor told me in a call .Recessions are rare he told me. That made me decide for this method.
If you need more details, the process is explained in the paper.
