Did anyone else try NoFap?
I’ve tried it for many months. This past go around, I went 6 months without any sort of pornography or masturbation. Had a few sexual encounters with my girlfriend but even on those I wasn’t achieving a proper hard on. Just lousy HJ without a real erection. I do feel that over the years I may have gotten somewhat desensitized from porn and nudity on tv, but this issue I have feels chronic and has been going on for awhile. Curious if anyone here has tried No Fap for longer and actually seen any results. I’ve gone to urologists a few years ago who said I had no physical problem
26 years old. USA. ED problem since teenage years. Doctor prescribed ED meds showing some efficacy but not a guarantee. As much as I’d like the implant I now think I should hold off if I’m seeing some results from pills

Well I'm at other end of Spectrum... I can no longer Climax without some type of Porn.. years ago ( like in High School) I could just close my eyes get into a nice fantasy and have a great cum..now takes porm ..can be videos, Erotic stories or pictures ...none are available I can get off watching myself JO in mirror if I just look at groin. If I try to jerk off without my arm gets tired before I climax.
72 MM married 48 years, live in Minnesota type 2 diabetes caused ed in my 40's went on trimix with great results but when wife had menopause sex got less and less so just wasn't cost effective so no sex since 2002.

No Fap is sex shaming nonsense.
At 23yo you haven’t ruined yourself with porn or masturbation.
If you are facing difficulties with erections track down a good men’s sex health urologist that will help you solve the problem.
But the problem is NOT masturbation.

55yo, NYC. ED started at 40. 50 units BiMix + Atropine (Pap 30/Phen 6/Atr 0.2). Prostaglandins caused aching. Doses increasing. A cock ring helps. Phallosan Forte tension devise to maintain size. Eager to talk about implant experiences.

Thanks GoodWood. My primary hypothesis for this being the case is my method of masturbation that I somehow learned as a young kid. Apologies for TMI... I tried the “normal” jerking way and found nothing pleasurable, so I’d squeeze my penis between my thighs. I found that this worked better if I wasn’t totally hard. So that’s what I’d do, then just couldn’t get hard. Even once I stopped this way about 5 years ago. I really have no idea what the issue could be. I asked a few urologists if this method could’ve damaged me physically and they essentially laughed it off saying it wasn’t even a remote possibility

It’s entirely possible that you ended up with that form of masturbation because you were already having or developing problems with your erections. We humans are pretty good at adapting.
Masturbation is natural, normal, and pleasurable. The method you describe doesn’t sound traumatic or damaging. Masturbation should be enjoyed as often as you feel the desire.
While you are searching for urologist consider buying a cock ring. It often helps with venous leak. It slows the outflow of blood out of the penis. I have a couple silicon stretchy ones and a leather strap with snaps version as well. Generally you wear them over the top of the shaft of your cock and under/behind your balls. They come in a couple different sizes. I prefer a thick silicon one. They make my erection thicker and firmer. Masturbation and sex in general feels better when my cock is firmer. Try it out and see if you like it.
Also try lube. A waterbased lube will play well with condoms and silicon cock rings but will dry out and get sticky with time. A silicon lube stays slippery but will melt condoms and damage silicon cock rings/sex toys. So don’t use silicon lube with latex condoms.
The WHY this happened is less important than the WHAT DO I DO NOW? Find a good urologist who will help you figure out a way forward. You have decades of good sex ahead of you. Start enjoying it now.

The ring things sound a little intimidating- I’m also not sure how I managed to get so screwed up with my penis. I never used lubricant ever. I’m wondering if that’s another thing that makes no sense about my story. Never once felt like I needed lube or anything. But anyway you are right. The question to ask is not “why?” but “how? (Do I fix it). I’m thinking that I can start by seeing some sort of sex therapist and when it likely inevitably does not work, tell my parents and get back in a uro’s office. My parents have been supportive but I fear the idea of asking for some major surgery like an implant on their dime. The estimates I have read online indicate that such a device is around 20 grand

Re: Did anyone else try NoFap?
It sounds like you do have some type of an ED problem and not mental. The normal progression from urologist is pills, injections, vacuum pumps and implants. The pump is a good place to start with a ring after you pump up. It holds it good if the ring is tight enough and you still have some blood flow. have been through them all, so PM me if you have further questions. Jim

Go to a different urologist for a full work up. Stay away from frequent solo activity and all porn. You may need an implant and if you do need one, do it! Problems are meant to be solved decisively. Most implants are an easy, low pain process. Mine was and I am 60. You are young so step up to the bat and talk to a uro who treats ED and don’t be one bit embarrassed. Tell him or her everything. They have heard it all. You probably have a venous leak that will never improve and you are going to want to have a wife, lots of sex and a bunch of kids. Get action!

The cock ring I am referring to is NOT the ring that is used with a medical grade VED (vacuum erection device). I’m just referring to a cock ring you could buy at any sex shop. Nothing to be intimidated by. Get a couple. Try them out.
