I’m normally in a good mood but this news has been a bit jarring! Hoping for some perspective…

Hey guys,

So past few years (I’m 29), I have had weak morning wood. I can bend the shaft 90 degrees in the middle due to how not firm it is. The morning wood also goes away very fast. As soon as I’m consciously awake, it’s gone. As soon as I wake up and shuffle even a bit, it’s gone. I never have to wait for it to go down. By the time I stand up, it’s never there, even if I stand up right away after my alarm.

Random erections haven’t been a thing for several years. When I masterbate solo, I can achieve 60-70% firmness MAX. EVERY time I masterbate, I can bend the penis in the middle of the shaft 90 degrees. 5 mg daily cialis does nothing. No change in firmness or horniness. 10mg daily gives me a few more random semi’s, but that’s it. I took 100mg viagra and even with a cock ring, I couldn’t stay hard with my girl. I took 100mg viagra yday to masterbate and achieved only a 70% erection. If I’m lying down, or sitting in my chair, it can be at a 85% perhaps.

Urologist said could be a venous leak. My testosterone is normal.

Based off these symptoms, does it seem like a venous leak?

I don’t think it’s psychogenic at all considering the solo masterbation sessions and morning wood being extremely sub par. That has been the case before my current relationship.

So anyways… I’ll ask for injections in 2 weeks. Once they stop working, I’ll get an implant. Based off what I’ve said, and how POOR my sex life is right now, I hope the injections and eventual implant give me a new lease on enjoying this great part of life as so far, I haven’t been able to.

Since diagnosis, I’m not in a bad mood. I try and stay in a good mood, and tbh, I hope the success of the injections and eventual implant cause my happiness over their success to outweigh the feeling that I’m broken or half a man.

Basically, do these symptoms (as I’m looking for some outside POV) warrant the use of injections? I think they do… what do y’all think? Y’all think I’ll be happier once I’m on them? I haven’t been able to have sex with my gf yet… it’s been a year… now that I say that the answer is obvious I think lmao.

But yea, y’all think my life will be better, based off your own personal experience? And if you were in my shoes, would you be looking forward to getting the implant?

I had some good erections very early 20’s. But second half of the decade has been piss poor, to the point I can’t relate to my friends and their horniness.

Oh also, I got blue balls last year (happens from not climaxing after an erection for a while) without an erection.. it’s as if my testes produce cum and want to bang, but my shaft won’t work, and then I go home after the date, and my testes hurt lol.

Thanks for reading yall. I’m just happy I can get something that may actually workkkk.

Injections may or may not work. Make sure you see a good men's sexual health urologist, they can test you and offer things to help. The bad about injections is you have to get the needle in the right spot. You need to plan sex because an injection usually works in about 15-30 minutes. Initial doses may not produce a sufficient erection. You will need to adjust the dose little by little to the point it gets erect enough and lasts long enough. The bad is if you over-do a dose your erection might not subside for a long time. That can be painful. Scarring is also a possible side effect of injecting.
Best of luck.

Thanks for the reply!

Seems the case that if they don’t work, then implant is up next. I’d be happy to get to some sense of normalcy tbh. What would you do in my shoes if you don’t mind me asking?

Try the injections. They work well for a lot of guys.

Keep us informed so we can cheer you on.
You have had a relationship for a year and no penitrative sex. If you could consider posting how this has been for you. Also how it has been for your partner.
I hope you get this working.

Truthfully, I hated doing the injections. If I would have known about implants before sticking the first needle in me I would have gone that way. Granted they worked, for a while for me. But when they started failing it was like ED coming on for the third time. That got me quite depressed. Unless you have accepted it's sooner or later for an implant, pass up the Trimix. Other than having my youthful penis back the implant is the best. No waiting, no scheduling sex, no drugs into my system.
I know others will hang me for saying that, but that's just my experience talking.

Yeah, I don't think you're doing a young guy a service by rushing him into an implant. He can decide on his own pretty quickly if injections are for him.

Age 29 was when I saw a doctor the first time about “my erection quality isn’t what I think it ought to be.”

Back in the dark ages I guess I was 31 by the time I had the Doppler study and pressure monitors shoved in my pecker and strapped to a table for X-ray pictures with contrast etc etc.

Big time venous leakage, very position dependent. Bad news is it doesn’t go away.

The good news is even if pills don’t work, it’s possible that injections will. Definitely give them a try.

I was on shots for 32 years. In retrospect I probably should have implanted 5 years sooner. Towards the end shots did work, just not terribly well. Erection duration wasn’t great after about age 60. I implanted at age 63.

If the shots work, use them for all they’re worth. Follow medical instructions. You’re putting chemicals via injection into your junk. Once you know your dosage, don’t experiment on yourself.

Good judgment and sanity with the shot needle can buy you a lot of good time and the sex was great. In my case I went 32 years. No ER trips for priapism. No scarring or Peyronie’s. Everybody’s going to have a misfire, but I can count them on one hand. It’s pretty obvious if you aren’t injecting in the right spot.

Good luck. Implants are great too. But don’t be in a hurry to get one until there are no good options left. When I started injecting, all we had was bimix, a few brave souls were getting malleable, and the 3-piece inflatable was still basically on the drawing board. If you can wait 15 or 20 years, who knows what they’ll come up with?
Age 68. Physically fit educated red neck in Texas. Very married. 23 cm (18+5) of LGX installed by Dr. Bryan Kansas 12/31/2019. I fought the ED and my wife & I won. I’m either full of shit or sound advice. You decide which.

For sure, will post more when I get time but for me, I just thought I was asexual, I thought it was her, I made excuses like drunk or I don’t like condoms first few times for why I got soft, she was very very patient. She even thought it was her. Now, I talked to her about it moreso. Last time we tried and I failed, she was thinking it just means we’re not meant to be or something, but I calmed her down, went to a uro, and told her about the injections. She has been incredibly patient and caring and understanding… hard part for me was second guessing if I thought she was cute due to my junk not working. Now I can trust my mind’s attraction again which is very beneficial for me if that makes sense
