I'm 20 years old, few months I had an accident where I manipulated my penis ( almost bending) it, doctors ruled out penile fracture after imaging process. I don't have good erections since then, it feels like there is no base to my penis. I'm considering an implant. It's emotionally really tough for me but I'm looking at the bright side of it.

Took the mri 2 weeks after injury and 2 months after the injury. No fracture or scar.

When I force an erection it pains and it feels like my left side of the penis base is buckling and kinda feeling like a bump. The bump is protruding out, my left corpora doesn't feel like cylinder.

I'm considering an implant, can I do martial arts, exercise with it. Can I live normal ? How do I accept myself with penile implant and how not regret it when my penile implant limits me to do certain activities

From what I’ve researched, there are two possible injuries that can result from being too harsh with your penis (bending, running against a brick wall with a full mast, …):

- Penile fracture: this would be *very* noticeable by immediate and immense pain, immediate loss of erection, heavy bruising (lookup “eggplant dick”) and would certainly be detected on MRI. Can probably be ruled out here in your case.

- injury of the suspensory ligament: unfortunately something that many urologists seem to miss. The ligament that supports your erection, just like other ligaments, can be sprained or torn. Usually happens when forcefully bending an erect penis downwards. If the damage is minor, it can heal on its own, but very slowly (multiple months). If the damage is more extensive, surgical repair is needed. Primary complaint here is usually “instability” of the erect penis, as well as a palpable gap between the shaft and pubic bone. It can also be accompanied by various degrees of ED. The good news: this is completely fixable with a simple surgery. In Europe, Dr Ralph is your friend for these kind of injuries.

Do I understand correctly that you can still get and maintain an erection as before, but just have pain and instability with it? Also, was there any “pop”/“click” and/or immediate pain or bruising when this incident happened?

Thank you for replying. There was no pop and i dont know the color since mine is black, I just felt something wrong. I can get erect but just painful. There is a buckling in the site of injury. No There js no suspensory ligament there, mri was done in 3t mri machine.

If you still have good erection quality, I would definitely advise against using sildenafil (Viagra), tadalafil (Cialis), ... as they would only make your erection harder and in doing so probably increase your pain. A penile implant also seems like complete overkill for this problem.

What do you mean exactly with "it feels like there is no base to the penis"? Does that mean you feel a gap at the base there? Is there an actual curve? Sorry for all the questions just genuinely curious what the cause could be if the suspensory ligament turned out fine on MRI (note that many urologists will still miss it though).

Its like a buckling, the docs are experience with 16 years for uro doc and 20 year for the radiologist

I had a similar accident. Did you notice a lowering of your erection angle?
I did an MRI aswell and they did not find any abnormalities to the suspensory ligament, but i still proceeded with the ligament repair. I would say it improved my base stability and EQ a bit.
Dr. Ralph said my ligament was loosened. MRIs don't necessairily show damage to the suspensory ligament. it can be very subtle and a simple overstretching will not show.

As far as the bump, i would give it more time. Try to not jerk of and let it heal. If you can still get erections and you don't notice any worsening or scarring, in my opinion you should wait and give it time. Daily cialis could be helpful for healing, talk to your doc.

Also it could be a good idea to check out the "Angion Method" on reddit, many people report healing their injuries with it.

Be careful and give it some time. Implant option is always there if needed
