Hi, 39 year old male who is on the brink of going insane. I just came to the realization I have ED after 4 years of denial and 10 years on finasteride.

Please see my results of the Doppler test. What does it mean?
Pre injection: 8 cm/s
Post injection: 29 cm/s on left artery and 46 cm/s on the right artery.

I was only like 30% erect after the injection but I was nervous.

So what do you think? Venous leak? I can tell you visibly my right artery is pronounced and bulging and my left artery is not visible but guys honestly probably doesn’t mean anything about venous leaks. I’m just bringing it up. Shoot I can’t attach the results. But I said what they were above. That’s all the letter says. It was short and unexplained to me.

Finasteride causes venous leak. If the injection did not give you a full erection it is because the blood is leaking out, it does not matter if you are nervous or not the injection should work the same.
Your only option is the implant.

I’m not having the discussion about an implant for another several years. I put a cockring on and tried at home while masturbating and it is impressive but not when I lay on my back. It doesn’t work on my back. Plus, I need to see if over time the post finasteride damage doesn’t naturally go away and the venous leak start to repair itself. I’ve been told by a few guys with PFS and ED, that I need to give it more time. Like 2-4 years, as it sometimes comes back naturally as the body wants to heal.

That’s not true. You don’t know how many milligrams I injected and of what drug. How could you say that? I injected 10 mg of some bimix or something and when I told the urologist doing the Doppler it isn’t fully hard after the injection they said “that’s fine. That’s enough for the test. You might have needed more than 10 mg but that’s enough.”

So spare me the “you need an implant talk.” I am still terrified of putting a needle in my dick and was anxious the whole time. Who knows if it wouldn’t be a 100% erection if I injected it with more dosage and in a better spot.

I am not a doctor but maybe this helps:

We aren't seeing the full test results but it looks like these are the systolic arterial velocities. If you were injected on the right and the medication didn't distribute evenly or the dose was too small then you might expect the right arterial velocity to be larger. If the medication was distributed evenly (sometimes requiring you to massage it through), a lower reading on one side could indicate "arterial insufficiency," which is different from "venous leak."

There is a second set of results called end-diastolic velocities that are used to determine what is popularly called "venous leak." These numbers should normally be less than 5 cm/s, preferably close to 0.

However, anxiety/insufficient dose can mess up the test results, so it's possible that no definite diagnosis could be made. It looks like that may have happened here. Same thing happened to me. My arterial velocities were great but I also only had about 30% erection so they couldn't really fully diagnose me.

First line treatment for either of these issues, as well as for performance anxiety, are viagra/levitra/cialis. Cockrings too but I personally dislike them. Have you tried the meds, and have you tried rings that go only around the penis? Many guys with perfectly healthy erections otherwise have difficulty maintaining on their backs so I wouldn't worry too much about that.
