Surgery Again - Looking for feedback!

Most times, ED is ED. But sometimes, concerns are going to be different.

Surgery Again - Looking for feedback!

Postby Solemnly Swear » Fri Jul 05, 2024 12:49 pm

A little background:

I have had type 2 diabetes for a number of years and I also had Peyronie’s disease causing a severe curve. This caused terrible ED and I tried everything just to be able to get an erection including pills and shots. At 41 (Feb, 2015) got my first penile pump installed and Dr removed most of the plaque from the Peyronie’s.

Everything was working good until around January, 2023 when pump failed due to leakage. Went to a different Dr who replaced with a Titan Touch in March, 2023.

Healing went well. He went in midway of my groin area which left a very noticeable scar (I don’t grow much pubic hair there), but what could be done about it?

Followed Dr instructions, went back for 2 week follow up when he told me to start pumping and then 4 week he released me to start using it. A few weeks later and I went to have penetrative anal sex and I heard a loud pop (I mostly like to bottom but occasionally I like to top and definitely want my dick to be able to get hard). I could feel the right side cylinder in my groin area. I knew something was not right, made an appointment and sure enough the right side cylinder had come out and was now in my upper groin area.

Had a 2nd surgery in June, 2023. Again followed the Dr instructions and went for my first follow up 3 weeks later. An ultrasound was done and the nurse doing the ultrasound seemed to see something she did not like? She called for a second nurse to come look at it but they said nothing was wrong. Dr instructed to start pumping and wanted to see me again in 3 weeks.

I had to cancel that appointment but I was still pumping daily. One time while I was pumping, not having sex, the left side cylinder came out and is now lodged in my upper groin area the way the right side was.

I have seen a different Dr who now has to do a 3rd surgery. He did an MRI and said that surgery was the only way to resolve issue. I will be having the 3rd surgery in August, 2024.

My question:

Should I go with malleable implant? I do not like the sharp pointy end of the inflatable pumps and I had to have the first replaced only 8 years after placement and the second one has definitely been a major problem. Wish I could get some responses from someone that has the malleable and maybe a show and tell. I know the risks of the malleable (erosion of tissue and always erect) but I also know first hand the inflatable has its share of downsides as well.

Would love to get some good informative responses please.

I have had a Rigicon mallabble since 6-2023 ... I have had issues with my body and healing not the implant ... just had a revision done 6-2024 was under sized put long implant in. I do like the Rigicon for bending and hiding Thedriver has a Genesis brand which him and his wife are trying to wear out. Look up his posts he went through 4 revisions and finally said enough and he appears to be happy with his implant. I like the mallabble for its ease of use .. no pumps .. just bend it and use it .. bend it back into it's "parked" position and your done ... I've had 3 surgeries in 11 months I know how you feel enough is enough..
