Prostate cancer and gay sex...

Hey guys! I have a gay work-colleague who has been dealing with prostate cancer for a few years. He has undergone radiation treatments and still has a few weeks of hormone suppression therapy to endure. His libido remains active, but he is worried about how these treatments will change receptive sexual stimulation. I had a prostatectomy, but never radiation or testosterone suppression. Also, I'm not a bottom. So my experiences aren't going to be particularly helpful to him. Do any of you guys know of a resource where he can reach out to other gay guys in his situation and ask about their experiences while recovering from treatment?

If he still has his prostate, in theory, everything should be fine, but it may take some time for it to heal up from all the 'damage' done during treatment. I too had RALP - so I can't speak to his specific experience type, but suggest to him to come here and talk about his experiences and ask around.

I do find that there are VERY limited resources for gay men who have prostate / colon cancer. Its been an absolute struggle.

This is a good book you may want to point him towards.

I had radiation for my prostate cancer 20 years ago. I am 70 now. It did not affect my sex life at all. I did not have hormone treatment, I refused it. My friend had it and it took a year after the treatments for his sex drive to come back. he did grow man boobs but they went away.
I still have my prostate and love to bottom, I do have ED and have an implant for 8 years and I love it.

I hope this helps
