Ejaculatory and Orgasmic Dysfunction Registry – SMSNA-sponsored Study
https://menshealthstudies.com/research/ejaculatory-and-orgasmic-dysfunction-registry/
Study Objective: To study which treatments may be effective in treating various ejaculatory and orgasmic dysfunctions, including delayed ejaculation, painful ejaculation, premature ejaculation, inability to achieve orgasm, and others. This registry is meant to begin compiling information from men around the United States who are trialing different therapies for these conditions. It is the hope that this registry may help to identify which therapies are potentially effective for treating these conditions, in order to improve treatment outcomes for men around the world.
Study Details: Men enrolling in this study will receive questionnaires every 3 months for the first year and then every 6 months for the following two years. Men who enroll in the study will also have the option to offer enrollment to their partners, who may also complete periodic questionnaires if desired. The questionnaires are designed to ask questions about which treatments are being used to treat the various ejaculatory and orgasmic dysfunctions, their efficacy (or lack of), and any side effects.
Study Duration: Individuals enrolling in the study will have the option to complete questionnaires for up to 3 years after enrollment. The registry itself is planned to continue through mid-2029.
Compensation: Men participating in the study will be given $50 for completing the initial questionnaire, followed by $25 for each follow-up questionnaire. Men will be compensated $225 for completing the full study. Partners of men wishing to participate will be paid $10 for each questionnaire completed. Note that the partner questionnaires are very brief. Compensation is given via mailed checks.
Eligibility criteria: Any man 18 years old or older in the USA who is beginning some treatment to treat an ejaculatory or orgasmic function disorder. (The partners of these men are also invited to participate and complete a separate questionnaire designed specifically for partners.)
Patient data: All patient data is collected using HIPAA-compliant software (which includes the ability to track/audit). Only study coordinators and the PI will have access to the full patient data. The data remains maintained on HIPAA-compliant servers. Future studies will only get the study data de-identified (without patient names or identifying information).
How to enroll: Email Men’s Health Studies at research@menshealthstudies.com and indicate that you would like to be a part of the ejaculatory and orgasmic dysfunction registry. When you email the above email, you may get an automated reply that your email couldn’t be delivered, but it almost certainly was. If you don’t hear from the team within a week, you can always send a follow up email to confirm.
Disclosures: The study is run by Men’s Health Studies and funded by The Sexual Medicine Society of North America (SMSNA). Maze is not affiliated with this study in any way. We only wish to promote it for the sake of our patients. We hope that the results of this registry study will bring attention to and aid in the development of new therapies for ejaculatory and orgasmic dysfunction.
