Good afternoon,
I am 32 and have had peyronies disease for over a year. I am able to maintain an erection however I no longer have the confidence and also have pain during intercourse. I am interested in the surgery to take out the plaque and straighten the penis.
Has anyone experienced this and who is the best surgeon to have this work done?

Have you tried any injections that are designed to break up any plaque?

Years ago, I went through a long series of Verapamil injections. Several shots per session. They were very painful, turned my dick black and blue with a residual ache that lasted for a couple of days afterward. Granted I had a really severe case with plaque covering 2/3 of the dorsal side (90-degree curve) which may have been more than the Verapamil could affect. I also had a real quack of a doctor, and I think he let me enter the chronic phase before he started treatment and didn't help me at all.

You might want to add the option of an implant in lieu of grafting as an option.

Depends on what part of the country you are in or are willing to go to .. I had mine done in Tampa Fl by Dr. Carrion who's father helped invent the inflatable implant back in the 70's. He is world renowned and has fellowships at USF where he teaches other dr's the in and out of penile surgery ..
