T Injections Boost Libido.. But Lowers Ejaculation??
T Injections Boost Libido.. But Lowers Ejaculation??
Hey guys.. my blood test results show a lower than normal T level of 281. My uro suggested T injections to boost my libido. But he also said that a side effect is a drop in sperm count. But I dont get it. I thought more sperm produces more ejaculation. Could someone explain how is it possible for libido to increase with T injections but lowers sperm count and therefore lowers ejaculation and lowers sexual pleasure?

Was he saying that semen volume declines?
Or was he simply saying that the sperm count within the semen declines?

Your urologist is correct in saying the testosterone supplementation lowers sperm count. Making sperm in the testicles is associated with making testosterone. When the extra testosterone is added, then your body stops telling the testicles to make as much testosterone, which also decreases sperm production. Where you are confused is in thinking that the amount of sperm in your ejaculatory fluid has anything to do how much you ejaculate. Sperm is a small part of that fluid.

71 years old in 2018; married 49 years. ED since 2001. PD5 inhibitors (Viagra, etc.) worked with increasing dosages until side effects got too bad by 2017. Now using Trimix injections. Delayed ejaculation has been a continuing problem since 2012.

I have seen many statement from guys on Franktalk that testosterone supplementation makes them much hornier.
Ahhh I see.. appreciate the correction. Thanks 60s surfer.
