About my condition...C Rings?

Postby moet78 » Wed Jul 10, 2019 3:37 pm

Hello All

This is my first post on this forum, I am hoping to get some insight from members here as I have been struggling recently with ED.
It popped out of nowhere 5 years ago. I started as usual taking the meds (first viagra and then cialis), but after 5 years their effects are starting to diminish. I don't really have a problem getting an erection, my issue is mostly keeping it while having sex (I tend to loose it whenever I change position mostly and after 3 minutes). Weird thing is while I am masturbating on porn I never have this problem, I think my issue is mostly psychological, but I also don't know if I have any kind of venous leak.
I started using very recently Cock rings, as I read they help keep an erection, so far the experience has been mixed, and they are quite uncomfortable and I am not really used to having something attached to my penis. I was wondering if any of you tried cock rings and taking pills at the same time? I thought I would ask first before trying it since this is quite new to me. I don't want to end up having priapism or any other issue trying this out. I am using the stretchy silicone ones, as i heard they are best for beginners. Also is it better to put it on with an erect penis or flaccid one?

Any experienced users with C rings are welcomed to give me their insight on this matter.

Thanks

Sounds like leakage. I had the same issues. Standing I was hard as soon as I get vertical down it went. Fooled around with it years. Used cock rings also. They work best after your hard. Keeps the blood from flowing back. I got implant 3 years ago. Should have done it 10 years earlier. Hope this helps

Using a constriction ring in conjunction with oral medications should be OK. The mechanisms do not interfere with one another and oral medications are not so extreme as an injection. I would have no qualms about using a ring with oral medications.

I have not myself mixed the two, but used constriction rings a few times with a vacuum device and oral medications for several years.

Totally agree with Jerry. His history sounds almost identical to mine. Got my implant in 2015 after going through all the oral meds then a few years of mono-therapy injections.

And like you, Moet... often my hardon LOOKED decent. But tryin to use it, it kinda folded up like a used dinner napkin! My favorite cocks rings were leather, with snaps.

I shoulda looked into an implant long before I did.

Hi, Moet and welcome to the forum,

My ED history is not like yours and is a result of a RP so I can't offer the suggestions others can. I have no assumptions about any efficacy for your condition.

First off, cock rings come in many different styles and are designed for different purposes, some just as humorous novelties, others as pleasure enhancers for on or both partners, some as non-medical type erection enhancers and some as medical grade constriction rings. What rings do you have? How do you wear them?

For my purposes I've tried a fair number of rings. most have been unsatisfactory. I expect many men have several in the junk drawer than didn't do the job. I do, but I have several that work for me. Ideally, I would think for your purposes, assuming a mild to moderate venous leak, that you'd want a ring that is fairly firm that would reduce but not stop blood flow. If you go too tight you become time limited and they get uncomfortable more quickly. Yes, I'd think you can use the rings with pills. I do. In your case I'd suspect that if the rings are tight enough to reduce blood flow they should probably be put on after erection.

I have no experience with venous leaks issues so take that into consideration. I do like rings.

Before my ED worsened, cock rings and viagra worked quite well for me. In the beginning. A neoprene ring worked well. When the neoprene ring stopped being effective. I found that the Pearl Beaded Prolong Ring from Adamandeve worked well for several years ($9 plus shipping). In a pinch. I even found that a 1” wide rubber band doubled ove and slipped around my whole unit (behind my balls) worked well (lube required).
