When do we throw in the towel on ED
How long do you guys think. 1 year, 2 years. When is the healing finished. What it is, IS. When do I stop pumping and taking the pills if nothing is happening.

Re: When do we throw in the towel on ED
Hey Corvetteman3,
I'm in what I'm hoping is just a mid-term slump. VED is still doing...but not as dramatic. Meds aren't doing anything except a headache and some weird 60's visual stuff sometimes. Haven't tried injections. Looking at Trimix gel. Haven't had anything usable. I will let you know how Gel works for me...seeing an ED doc on Monday. Frustrated as hell, but not giving up.
Seem to remember you were going to try injections on a post on HW. Did you try that?

I did not try injections yet. I tried MUSE and it was not good. No go just burn. 3 attempts. I asked the Dr. about Tri-mix Gel he said if Muse did not work he doubted that Tri Mix Gel would work. Meds do not have the side effects on me at all and I get just a bit of thickning but not usable. I was just wondering when do I know that it is as good as it is going to get. Thanks for your responce.

Hey Corvetteman3,
I'd have to go back and look, but I thought I saw that Trimix Gel had better results than Muse. You may want to get another opinion. I'll recheck.
I see an ED doc on Monday and I have a list of questions longer than my present manhood or my appointment time. But, I will press on and post results.
I get best results using VED. But, that seems to be diminishing. Results are good but they don't last long (enough). I'm incredibly frustrated by this but I'm determined. However, one thing about VEDs is that they do at least keep you stretched and get some blood flowing. I think they do prevent atrophy.
Stay in touch...my email's open.
Off topic, I see your handle is corvette. I love corvettes. Especially late 50's. Some early 60's. Could never afford one then. Did have a 68 Firebird ragtop. Actually like the 67-69 camaro's better. Just a car lover:)

Hey Corvetteman3,
I must be having some finger trouble here. My email to you got bounced back. I asked Paul to send my direct email address to you.
I went and saw an ED doc today...I'll post another thread on that.
All for now,

Paul:
I saw my Dr. yesterday and he told me 12-18 months before sex returns to "normal". It's only been since Sept 10 for me so I have a way to go. He said to start using the pump to aid with size and blood flow to your pinis.

Lem: Thanks for the responce. I am just short of 13 months. The good news is that I am still a ZERO! I have made a decision to change to a differend Dr to deal with the ED. My uro is just to quick with my Dr visits and I am not happy with his communication.
I have a couple of names and must make a decision. I plan to go to a support group meeting and ask what Dr. are they others usuing.
Thanks again for you post.

Re: When do we throw in the towel on ED
I have had ED for 4 yrs. I am 52 and a type 2 diabetic (9yrs). My family doctor finally put me in touch with a urologists in Pittsburgh and he has agreed to do an implant April 2010. I am so looking forward to it, not the pain, but the end result. Anyone out there recently have an implant?
