What possible problems can occur if I keep my Penile Implant Pumped up for long periods of time, or even have up.

Overuse of Penile Implant
Re: Overuse of Penile Implant
If inflatable implants are not deflated for long periods of time then tissue can develop around the
reservoir and not allow full deflation.

Re: Overuse of Penile Implant
In addition to what vajim1 noted (the scar tissue encapsulating the (deflated) reservoir over time when the implant is inflated for long periods), making it difficult to fully deflate the implant, there is the issue of the inflated implant compressing your penile tissues. If that compression restricts free blood flow, bad things can happen. You WANT the spongiosum tissue (especially in your glans) to have free blood flow and healthy elasticity so it can engorge when you are sexually excited. Prolonged compression of that tissue, I opine, might impair that function, to your and your partner's disappointment.

Re: Overuse of Penile Implant
My surgeon said constant pressure of the implant on the inside of the glans can cause erosion. That is the problem some men have with the malleable type of implant that stays firm.
I am 64 and had ED from a VL. Implanted by Dr. Ronald Anglade in Atlanta on 9/18/17. I have an AMS700LGX 21 cm via a Penoscrotal incision. Very happy with results. 6" soft and 6 3/4” x 5 5/8” hard.
