Discussing Peyronies Disease

Postby oldbeek » Mon Aug 10, 2020 10:50 pm

today I was listening to Pandora Radio. There was a public service announcement about PD. You don't need to live with a bent shaft or odd lump. Don't accept it as your new normal. See a urologist today. I guess everything is open for discussion now. Not that this is a bad thing.

My penis bends a little bit to the left and that always bothered me.

There are no lumps, no plaque and I have no idea if it's PD or not. I'm guessing it was caused by masturbation but I'm not entirely sure.

It's not painful and doesn't stop me from having intercourse but I don't like it. I would correct it if I could.

PD still seems to be a big mystery among urologists. The exact causes are still unclear and all available treatments seem medieval to me and may do more harm than good.

Any thoughts on the electric toothbrush theory? I read somwhere that it could break down the infamous plaque and correct PD...

Bends of up to 10% are common among guys erections. Peyronies is usually associated with more sever curves, but especially sharp bends. The Peyronies Society maintains a web site if you want to gain more information.

An extender has been shown to be a medically approved method to help reverse Peyronies induced curvature.
