According to this fascinating study published in May 2018, hyperbaric oxygen can induce angiogenesis (generation of new blood vessels) and recover erectile function:

The treatment comprised 40 daily hyperbaric sessions, 5 days a week, in a multiplace hyperbaric chamber.
I don't know the details of these hyperbaric sessions but I do know that these chambers are widely available: there is one of them in our local public hospital.

40 in a single day!?
I can't seem to find how long each of the 40 sessions was.
This is super interesting, but seems like getting one of these places with a hyperbaric chamber to give you 40 sessions in a single day would be a stretch...

I don't know the details but I guess you're right and the study mentioned it:
HBOT carries two main disadvantages. First, while PDE5Is or intracavernosal injections have immediate effect, in HBOT, as in other regenerative therapies, the beneficial effect can be recognized only after a series of sessions. Second, HBOT sessions require considerable time and dedication (40 daily treatments, 90 min each).
On the other hand, hyperbaric oxygen seems to be extremely effective (incl. in cases of diabetes) and provides a long-term non invasive solution, not just momentary relief.
And the 'fascinating' part is: these hyperbaric chambers are already widely available, they're not just a wild theory or treatment in the pipeline.

We had this treatment for bleeding in the bladder, it fixed that with 40 treatments. the treatments lasted 1 hour for 40 days. note: did nothing for the ED. This was 7 years ago.

According to the study, each daily treatment consists of three 30 minute sessions separated by a 5 minute “air break.” The treatments were conducted 5 days a week over 8 weeks for a total of 40 treatments.

What were those treatments like and what did you have to do? Were there any side effects?
Maybe the chamber has to be somehow 'adjusted' or prepared to the treatment of ED, I have no idea...
The efficacy rate mentioned on this study is impressive, higher than oral meds and for sure much better and more reliable than the controversial shockwave therapy.

I contacted a local Hyperbaric clinic. 40 sessions would be $6,000! I was a little shocked by the price but I'm still considering it.

I would do it, if I were you. I hear nothing but great things about these treatments.
Keep us posted on your progress!
