Any advice on "dribble effect" after surgery?

Postby RMDavis » Sun Jan 13, 2013 2:19 am

I'm 2 years post prostatectomy and have become consigned to wearing a pad due to urinary dribble. I can get an erection using a pump or shots but have to use a ring or condom due to the leakage of urine. Luckily my wife of 30 years is understanding but it still grosses me out to think I'm going to pee on her during love making.
My uro simply tells me to "Do more kegels" but I've been doing those for two years to very little avail.
If anyone else has the same issue, have you been able to minimize it or have ANY suggestions as to control the dreaded dribble? Any advice would be appreciated.
Thanks,
RM

Some of the guys on here have an Artificial Urinary Sphincter (AUS), they can tell you about that remedy. Maybe this will catch their attention. Then they can give you all the information that you need.
