I have been taking 1/2 mil a week of testosterone cypiona every week for the last 18 months.. I also was suffering from ED.. It has not helped my ED.. but has helped in my over-all health...more energy..seems to help clear my head..not as lazy..LOL...I give myself a injection every Monday night..painless...inject into my ass... this stuff is cheap...insurance wouldn't pay...I buy a 10 mil bottle...which is good for 20 weeks...bottle is $95.00 and get 20 syringes ...roughly $100 bucks for 5 months... when i first started I was at 250...now I stay between 750 and 800.. Also I had a penile implant 19 days ago...everything is healing well and Doc told me to keep injecting...hope my info helped anyones questions...Carl

Re: Testosterone Therapy
About 3 months ago, I decided to stop my Androgel therapy. My fee T level, elevated to a range that my doctor wanted & there seemed to be no problems, but after \2 or 3 months at a this "higher" level. I began to notice terrible sleep apnea & a heart burn like problem swallowing food. Within 2 days of halting the Androgel, both problems improved markedly. The therapy never really increased my energy or libido, my libido seemed to slightly increase after dropping the treatment, probably due to improved sleep. I just cant seem to win with this T therapy & some times wonder if I'm doing more harm than good to myself. Will be returning to my doc in next 2 weeks. Any comments or similar stories are appreciated.

Regarding androgel as a TRT treatment, you might want to look at these articles and see if you think they shed any light on your situation. What were your estradiol levels when you were on androgel?

That's what I've been taking for quite a while. I do have more energy, libido, and strength although now I'm able to lift one arm weights easily. I've gotten up to using a 20lb weight and I can curl it (one handed of course), and can actually hit a golf ball farther now than previously. My weight is about the same as always, a svelte 160lbs, although I'm just 4 feet tall (kidding).
I'm sure there are side effects and I eagerly await them, but I do get checked for T levels often.
Since I also self inject Tri-mix, I now inject into my thigh muscle, alternating legs each time, and if relaxed, the pain is almost nonexistent.
I'm sure there are thyroid issues using it and who knows what else, but life goes on.

Re: Testosterone Therapy
Androgel did absolutely nothing for me. In fact, my "T" count went backwards on the stuff, such that I was down around 150 and lower for total "T."
I switched to Fortesta about 9 weeks ago. Originally I was on 4 pumps, which got switched to 5 pumps becuase the pump itself was not delivering a reliable dose. My "T" level rose off the charts to the point where it was actually dangerous. I was having chest pains, heart palpitations and a constant greasy face.
My doctor has dropped me down to 3 pumps a day & everything seems to be working swimmingly. I haven't had my "T" levels re-checked, but I no longer have the chest pains or the constant heart palpatations. I have good energy, a clearer head, and I've already lost 10 lbs. on the stuff. I can't tell if it's had any effect on the ED. Some days I feel randier than others, but I really can't tell if that's "T" related or just other factors.
