The first urologist I saw a few weeks ago wrote me back to say that penile injections can cause Peyronie’s Disease (which I have) and are counter indicated re: using caverject injection.
Does this ring true? Anyone have any knowledge on this subject?
Thanks, Raven
Peyronie's Disease and injections
Re: Peyronie's Disease and injections
My layman's understanding is that Peyronie's disease and scarring caused by injections are separate entities in terms of their causes but the outcome is very similar. I have a condition called Dupuytren's contractures, lumps of scar tissue in the palms of the hands, that two urologists have said basically guarantee that injections would cause me to have severe scarring in prety short order.
It might really help you to consult a urologist who can review all your options with you. I recently saw Dr. Karpman in Mountain View and believe he could fully evaluate and recommend.

I am sixty-six years of age and dealing with gradually worsening ED for twenty years. At sixty-three I wanted something that worked reliably. I got an AMS 700 LGX implant in 6/25/13. I am entirely pleased with the outcome. My surgeon was Dr. Karpman.
