I was implanted at the beginning of this year. Prior to this year I suffered long term ED (since 2012). My question is in regards to penile disuse atrophy and loss of size.
Everything I’ve researched to date indicates that atrophy impacts both length and girth. While I have lost length the girth has always remained intact. Does anyone know if atrophy impacts length and girth or one or the other? I’m trying to determine if my current length (roughly 5-5.5 inches) is related to atrophy or current weight. I have recently began a lifestyle chance (currently 5’9” and weigh 295 lbs). Has anyone experienced an increase in length due to weight loss (I understand that length isn’t really gained but more of the penis is exposed)? If so, how much did you gain?
If anyone has experienced loss due to atrophy did it impact length and width?

ED issues for the past 12 years. Viagra and Cialis proved to be ineffective. Trimix injections did not work. Implanted 01/27/23 with AMS 700 CX (24 cm).

I'm not the best guy to answer your questions.
Most of my length loss was due to a RP with associated loss of urethra length combined with the resulting total ED. I never measured my dick prior to the surgery, and for several years after. I kinda wish I had. I don't think I lost any girth either. After using a VED for therapy followed by injections I'm certainly as girthy as I ever was, I think. Remember I never measured prior to surgery. I don't understand the obsession a lot of guys have with length but I do think having an idea of your normal base condition may be useful later when things are no longer normal. I know I lost some length but I'll never know how much. I'm not really worried about it though because I do have enough. I think the loss is usually mainly in length unless fibrosis or PD becomes an issue.
Are you measuring bone pressed length? If not you should because that's the only way you will be able to judge change. Fat pads and layers can change with age and of course body mass. A firm bone pressed measurement will press through most of the fat pad giving a more repeatable measurement.
As you already know, weight loss will reveal more of your dick both visually and usefully. However, I believe the pubic fat pad will be one of the last areas to go. After your weight loss you very likely may need liposuction to get the fat pad gone.
I'm sorry I couldn't be more help but like I said I'm not the best guy for this question, although I certainly have a fat pad and could stand to lose some weight at 6' 220. In my youth I was 6'1" 170-180. And yeah, with a bigger dick. Oh well!
