Synthetic testosterone has been available for 70 years, but depressed or ED guys were never offered it until fairly recently; they had to know what was wrong and seek it out. My father was asexual and severely depressed but never treated. Of course he never went to a doctor for "just feeling badly." Twentieth-century men were supposed to be tough and soldier on - don't go to a doctor unless you fell off a roof or something. And I'm guessing that general medicine courses of the previous generation didn't cover male hormone treatments, only menopause problems.

What a different world we have now. The Sexual Revolution has brought sex problems out of the shameful shadows. Depressed guys: Get up, make an appointment, and get tested! If the first doc doesn't fix your problem, find another. The solution is within your power. FT friends will help you.

(The child situation is political and temporary. It will end when the kids become of legal age and start bringing lawsuits.)
Age 79 in 2024. On testosterone replacement due to hypothalamus malfunction. (Attention depressed guys: low testosterone is a cause.) Healthy health nut but ED due to getting old. Like to keep enough cardiovascular ability to thrust for 30 min.
