Staxyn -- new drug

Postby Andy425 » Tue Dec 31, 2013 7:35 pm

I was at my uro's today for a routine check-up (PSA still zero, 18 months out) and told him that I quit taking Cialis because it gave me terrible acid reflux.

So he gives me a sample (2 pills) of Staxyn. You just dissolve them on your tongue like a mint. Anybody used them yet?
RP in 2012 because of prostate cancer. 100% ED, also some leakage problems.

It's kind of a lightweight drug. My Uro said they call it the "one and done" pill. Didn't do much for me but I haven't had much success with PDE5 inhibitors. I also never liked the the "hangover" feeling I get from these types of drugs. Injections so far offer fewer side effects and are much more economical than $30 ED pills. Good luck with them - hope they work for you.

Hi Andy,

Yes - I filled 2 prescriptions for Staxyn when I was still trying oral meds. My insurance won't cover " lifestyle" drugs like these so it was very costly- over $20 a dose. That said I liked the idea of a dissolvable treatment that can bypass the stomach and not be slowed down by a heavy meal & be faster acting. Sadly it didn't really do any more for me than the first gen meds- meaning little or no results . I can't recall if it caused side effects. Seems like based on my Uro's suggestion I combined it with MUSE and still didn't get satisfactory results. I went from Staxyn to injections .

Hello,

Yes I tried it - somewhat like Levitra I guess in strength. Great product with dissolvable med but did nothing for me. I went to injections from there.
